@mfresa I agree. I don't think one @Corey562 pipe is going to be enough. I had to wipe drool off my phone while looking at the pic.. He needs to adopt that old commercial phrase, "bet you can't SMOKE just one"...
NICE @Corey562 Looks as if you're going to have a push stem on this one. I like the stem to bowl transition and overall shape... Also like the acrylic stem. Any idea yet on the stain?
Ooooo... @Corey562 Going to give it a warm look. Sounds great!... Got a Dremel flex cable extender to help with rustication work on pipes, also a $25 gift card for PC. I'll spend it on tobacco since I already have enough pipes, (don't tell my wife I said that)...
@KA9FFJ nice. P&C called me this morning wanting to know my account has been inactive said the would give me a 20 cupon to answer some questions. I said ok told them the reason for my account being inactive because I live near a few B&M and they hung up on me. Go figure.
@ghostsofpompeii I have used bamboo, ox horn, deer and elk antler, cumberland, imitation ivory, and acrylic. My buddy has some small peices of mammoth I would like to make some small rings or spacers out of if I can get them at a reasonable price.
Yea. This is a black and red cumberland swirl acylic the briar on the stem is a ring grain and The whole pipe is a beautiful straight grain its gonna be a looker.
@Corey562 Sorry for the long delay in responding to your posts, but my house has been full of out of town company and this is the first moment I've had without company since 2 days before Christmas... This pipe you're working on now is really nice. Is that the natural plateau from the block? It looks as if it is. And if it is, what a unique setup placing it on tho BOTTOM of the bowl and shank... The stem is going to really make it pop. To say I like it is an understatement... Really looking good...
Well @KA9FFJ it is shot sanded a hole into the draft hole only way to save this one is to cut off the shank and look for something to replace it and that just throws the whole bowl off for me so it goes to the bin for now till I figure iut what to do with it.
