Nice job @Corey562 I also like the cantered bowl. Perfect for the "hanger" piper. Do you get your bamboo from the same supplier as your blocks, or have to go elsewhere?...
@KA9FFJ I dig alot of my bamboo root a couple miles from my house. And the one in the background is my unfinished bamboo pot its a work in progress but it smokes like a champ and with a 2in deep bowl it's a all day smoker.
@Corey562 A good smoker, an all-day smoker? Looks as if you made yourself a little bit of heaven... Any plans on putting the finishing touches on that one in the near future? Whenever you do, make sure we get a look-see...
@Corey562 Makes me jealous. Right now I'm not finding much in the way of preowned pipes that are reasonably priced and in need of some TLC. I have two such pipes left in my inventory, then it's redoing some previously refurbed pipes that I wasn't happy with. If I don't get a break soon, it's going to be a long winter...
By the way, nice lot of ebauchons you have there. I'm counting 17...
@Corey562 Question: Are you ever left with small blocks that you could possibly make a 1/2 to 45 min smoke pipe? Normally your pipes are really nice size, but once you make that 1st pipe, does that ever leave you with a smaller pipe possibility?...
@Corey562 Holy cow, as long as that shank is, you might want to call it a "Canadian" Blowfish... Seriously, that pipe is going to have some beautiful lines. It looks as if you're going to continue the bowl edges right on up the shank. Is that right? Or are you going to feather the edges going into the shank resulting in a rounded-shaped shank?
@Corey562 Nice! Check out Pipe Refinishing. I've just about finished the stem (haven't put it on the wheel yet). Tomorrow I'll be asking your advice on the stummel. You'll know what I mean when I show you the pics...
@ghostsofpompeii roughly about 130 or so and I only have about 10 that I have kept for myself out of the 10 I smoke 4 the others I would sell if some one wanted them bad enough.
@Corey562 Please don't tell me that the grain on the bottom pipe holds steady all the way around? No matter, both are beauties. Are you planning on selling them as a set or individually?
@Corey562 If the grain is the same or similar all the way around, you HAVE to well them separate. What did you use for the shank extension? It looks like the same material that's on my pipe... I LOVE my pipe!...
