I'm with @Londy3, if it's in a box it's not something that's good to eat. The only animals on my property that will open a bag or box for food are rodents!
After the first frozen meal my mother fed us as a young teen I told her to let me know before she did that again so I could plan to eat at a friends!
I just figure the preservatives will let me live longer😬 I had a boss/co-worker/friend that would not eat processed foods, ran/jogged a mile or two everyday, was not overweight at all, quit smoking before he was 30 and he died of a heart attack at 62. I’ll just eat whatever suits me, and I don’t run/jog for anyone, and I worry about nothing except staying employed (only so I can pay my bills, I don’t fancy living on the street)…..we’ll see how far I’ll make it.
@Londy3, @RockyMountainBriar, @vtgrad2003; Some are pretty good and sometimes fast food is just to much trouble and restaurants are getting pricey. Given an option, I probably would prefer home cooked food. My bride has cook supper for us for 58 years, sometimes she deserves a break. Don't tell I said that.
I would much prefer fresh home cooked meals as well, but I don’t want to shop for groceries every day. If I buy fresh food, since I am alone, most of it would go in the garbage all rotten🙁
@RockyMountainBriar Ummm, the refrigerator was invented a few years ago...if you buy one of those, you can put your food in it and keep it fresh longer
@vtgrad2003 Ahh, no shit, you mean I don’t need to cut blocks of ice out of the river when it freezes over in Dec.-Jan.? Hell, I wouldn’t need the root cellar/“ice house” out back either to store the blocks for use in the summer.
I definitely enjoy cooking and appreciate quality ingredients. Yes, I am one of those that actually read what's in things which is why I can't eat that stuff in the prepared food isle. It really doesn't have to be complicated or time consuming to make a great meal. Just a little planning. I really enjoy home cooked food and feel good after I feast 😎
Meanwhile, to sum up: << Don't believe this pipe stem is made with the usual materials. It can only be molded plastic. Because drilling the flue as is usually done is not possible for a single moment with such a geometry.>>
An interesting bit of trivia. In the early 1900’s, Montana had over 100 cigar factories. I have an old cigar box that my grandmother used as a pencil box went she went to school. She was born in 1921. I will have to drag it out…..
@Zouave1864; We'll never see the days of 15 cent cigars again. Neat piece of family history. Thanks for sharing. @RockyMountainBriar; If you can find it, I'd love to see a picture.
@opipeman Here is the old Montana Cigar Factory box that my grandmother used as a pencil box when she was in grade school. I believe she said that it was a hand-me-down even to her. I don’t know how old it is, but at least since before 1930.

Same here. Grocery bags...
No better book cover was to be found back then...
Nicknamed the ZZTop pipe.
X gets the square!!
How the hell did they drill out the stem??
I’m thinking it is Bakelite, or something similar, that was molded in two halves then bonded together?
Maybe it's a fake pipe?
