Easy for me to say, just don't get DOWN (at least not further down). Much better days ahead when you just look forward to them. I continue to pray for you, and hope you feel some relief real soon. Many. many of your friends on herte are also praying for you.
The fact that you have posted several times in the past couple of weeks says SOMETHING about your attitude. You are obviously a strong guy physically and emotionally to endure what you have been through. I pray and hope that you will see healthier and pain free days in the immediate future, or I will drive up and pester the crap out of you.
And if you would, say a little prayer for me. I will tell you about that later.
@motie2, not getting worse is a plus I suppose, but the other side of that coin you're still in pain. Maybe the doctors need to be under a psychologist care. I hope at some point things will start looking up for you. As you know I'm sure,we all miss your wit, wisdom, and leadership.
@motie2 We're all here for you. @pwkarch hit the nail on the head with his comments. Stay focused on the future and on signs of improvement, no matter how small. None of us can fathom the difficulties you've endured. Take comfort in knowing we're praying for you. You will beat this!
@motie2 Sorry to hear about your recent setback. And thanks for the concern. It was quite a birthday present to discover I have diabetes as well as some auto immune disease as yet diagnosed. I have an appointment with a Rheumatologist to determine what it is. My family doctor isn't sure but thinks it might be something like Lupus (what-ever the Hell that is). I think lupus is Spanish for wolf so it appears I may be a diabetic werewolf. .
What the H E double hockey sticks is going on here? Now I have another guy to pray for......and I will my friend. We must be getting old here I suppose. Let me know what is going on.
We all anxiously await your update when you can @motie2 I am so sorry to hear about your present complications with the blood clots... Again, please keep us informed when you can... We continue to keep you at the top of the list...
@pwkarch When I hit 60 I used to tell my wife, "I'm sure not the man I was at 40." But in the past two years the classic signs of aging that seemed to happen with the arrival of each new landmark like turning 40, 50, and 60 - now happens with the passing of a single year. Once I hit 65 I find myself living out the remainder of my life in dog years.
I had a congregant ask me, back in the late '70's, "When are you gonna grow up?"
Meanwhile, the first sign of progress/healing: Since yesterday, I can partially drain my bladder with my ...uh... original equipment, rather than exclusively using the suprapubic catheter (aka "popping the cork.") if this continues and improves, I may be able to have the catheter removed from the hole in my belly after two freakin' months..
Thank your all for continued prayers and good wishes.
Really good to hear some progress, (however small) being made concerning your health. I can't pray any harder for you buddy... Thanks for the update. It means a lot to me and I'm sure all here at TPL... Later Gator...
Wonderful news, that is a very positive step of which I am so happy to hear. I KNEW the amount of certainly national and possible international prayers on your behalf would reach upstairs. You are loved, respected, and revered by many. You are now tasked with getting better. We are doing our part and will continue to do so. Happy weekend, and I am looking forward to your usual and valued participation here. Tell Mrs. Motie we appreciate her taking such great care of you. A good and caring wife is a true gift from God.
@motie2, I can definetly understand the frustration of dealing with dueling doctors and multiple problems. My Cardiologist, Gastroenterologist and Urologist all had different ways of dealing with me in the Hospital that caused me to have a prolonged. painful stay in hospital and slow recovery at home. My heart goes out to you Brother, Blessed Be.
