Thanks everyone for the kind words of encouragement. It's an exciting time for me and my wife, and there's so much to do before the big day comes. I'm just trying to enjoy the peace and quiet while I can before that all changes.
Bradley at YouTube's StuffandThings, both loses it and calls for calm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRXfIJgExrY Bradley is my #2 pipe resource, after @PappyJoe "You're not going to die....probably." LMAO!!!
My wife and I had a gender reveal for our little one on the way before the lockdown was enacted over in Illinois. We had a few close family members over and livestreamed the reveal on facebook. I'm excited to announce that in September my wife and I will be the proud parents of a son! Thought for sure we were having a daughter, but there's always next time , and we couldn't be more excited!
Thank you everyone! And @pwkarch , believe me, if my son chooses to follow the path of the briar, his dad will hook him up well. I'd consider it an honor, but it's all up to him.
Vietnam Vets - Thank you for your service, sacrifice and the enduring an unappreciative/hostile nation on your return home. Your service may have been the most selfless of any U.S. servicemen in our history based on our terrible response and attitude toward the military during this time.
A very pivotal time in my life. There were many of us who suddenly grew up spending our later teenage and early twenty years involved in that mess. And it is a shame how many are still fighting that war today (certainly not unlike all the past wars in which we were involved).
Well today I was smacked with “The Rona” virus. I don’t have it (that I know of), but I was laid off because of Governor Bullocks “Shelter-In-Place” State government mandate. It closed all non-essential business...ours was one of a bazillion. This country is going to hell in a hand basket.
@RockyMountainBriar I'm really sorry to hear that. Let me know if you need anything. I don't know what I can do with the distance between us but I'll do whatever I can.
@RockyMountainBriar I'm sorry to hear that. I missed your post earlier. I'm in the same boat. Millions of businesses will close probably forever especially small business. Unfortunately, things will get worse before they get better. The future is unknown and unstable. However, with rapid change comes opportunity for some. Be flexible with change and be open to new things. Most important is to try and stay positive and pray to God and communicate with Him so you can see, think clearly and make good decisions.
I don't want to ramble, sorry. As I'm writing this, I'm doing it for myself as well.
@RockyMountainBriar TOUGH times buddy....about he only thing I can do for you right now is to pray for you (and myself). If I was there, I would smoke a pipe with you, maybe have a "snort" of whiskey and just talk. Misery does love company. God bless and pray a lot, oh and wash your hands. Better times are always coming.

He's wrong.
We are all going to die.... eventually.
Do you realize that humans is the only species that actively works to thwarts God's will?
