I now suffer (?) from four chronic issues: 1. PAD - Pipe Acquisition Disorder 2. TAD - Tobacco Acquisition Disorder 3. FAD - Firearm Acquisition Disorder 4. WAD - Whisky Acquisition Disorder How much of any of these is enough? Just a little bit more! 😏
Well, I don't like bourbon all that much, but I'll have a little Irish Whiskey on occasion. Many of you have seen my Fire Service ball caps. I don't have a beard and don't plan to grow one. I pack a snub-nose 38 S&W. I like to listen to Haggard, Jones, Waylon, Willie and several others. I love my God, my country, my wife and family and my pipes and a few tobacs. Seems like that's about all a man needs.
@Londy3; I agree with @johnspecht you have good taste & are a gentleman of class! As far as my shooter, I got to be pretty close in order to hit anything.
I have the beard and moustache. I can no longer enjoy spirits do to health. As the good doc stated .., “you will be dead within 24 hours”! That is good enough for me stay clear of the spirits. But a fine tobacco in a quality briar and a good book, count me in. I do not usually take photos of my firearms but for my fellow pipe brothers....I will join in. Hats, 46 and counting I guess. Before anyone says anything about the dear stalker. It makes more since than most give it credit for. But I will tell you I am a sort of Sherlockean The .38 Spl. is my only wheel gun that is special to me. I do not carry with that handle but I thought I would install it for this picture. It’s kinda like a nice stem on a briar. The light colored briar is one I just finished a few days ago. It helped me pass the time while I have these staples in my spine. Another long story for another time. If there are any fly fisherman out there then “The Complete Angler” by Izaak Walton is a must read! “The Kaufman Mercantile Guide” is a great coffee table book and then there is “A Anchor For The Soul” which is a great devotional for men, brothers, fathers, and grandfathers. Again I want to thank all you guys for the welcoming to The Pipe Life. ⚓️
OK guys, what is your favorite beard oil/fragrance? I'm partial to Beardbrand's 4 Vices, but they are discontinuing it for next year. Got a good one that has a MASCULINE scent? No flowery stuff, etc. Thanks
Also Wolf and Iron makes good beard oils. I have used the John Muir beard oil from them. It's a little more adorable than the Moroccan oil if I recall.
@mfresa; Sorry Brother, don't have a beard and never heard of beard oil/fragrance. I only grew a beard once, back in the 70's (it was our town's centennial). Firefighters can no longer have facial hair that might interfere with the seal on an SCBA mask. Being prematurely gray, I looked a lot like Gabby Hayes. When I shaved it off, my young nephew didn't know who I was.
I’ve used Duke Cannon Big American “Redwood” & Badger Navigator which is a warming spice scent. A buddy recommended the old Vitalis with V7 hair tonic which was very inexpensive (comparatively) and worked very well. Sad to say the bastards changed the formula a year or so ago and it is now worthless. I have some Lucky Tiger hair tonic that works as well as the Vitalis did, but it has a sweeter fragrance, not bad though. It is tough to find. I quit using any sort of treatment for a year or so and my beard barely grew…or it was breaking off?..Since using the Lucky Tiger again, it has started to gain some length. I just used the last of it this morning🙁. I have ordered another three bottles, but it’s not here yet. I’ll probably break off the length that I have gained in the last month waiting another week for the tonic to show up🙁. It’s pretty dry around here.

A “punk’in roller” perhaps? 🙂
Might work!!
Thank you both for the kind words!
It looks a little warmer there than here. Here meaning 30 degrees and cloudy with snow cover. At least one of us is warm!!

Thanks so much for sharing!
I may have to get that anchor for the soul book. By the way, I like your 38 Special 👍
There's bumping it up, and there's what you just did! Sweet!
Oh just trying to keep it interesting
Off to run errands..🤣
