I'm glad I cleaned up and restemmed this little meer. It's a great smoker and super light weight. Relaxing after a round of golf with some Tinderbox Honey Maple...
I bought a bag of super value peach the other day . Been wanting to try it and figured if sutliff makes it Ill never see it again so I snagged it . Its a bit more flavored than I was expecting so I use a little of it mixed with Smokers Pride black Cavendish ... its makes a very nice indoor aromatic . Anyway , smoking that blend in a Basil Meadows " Bing " pipe
its been a brutal 2 weeks at work but Im still alive . Hope wall is well in your world
@Ruffinogold Hope you have better luck with the peach aro than I did. Tried a few, including Sutliff, and found that they all ghosted my pipes and it took 4 to 6 bowls to finally get the ghosting mostly gone. I enjoyed the blends, just not the ghosting... But then again, your adding it to other blends so it may not be an issue...
Mardi Gras continues through next Tuesday but last night was the last major parades in my small town until St. Patrick's Day. Since one of last week's parades got rained out, they let that Krewe roll in front of the scheduled group last night. In total, there were 49 floats loaded with men and women throwing beads, stuffed animals and other trinkets to the massive crowd along the parade route.
I didn't want to risk a pipe, so I bought a couple of Kentucky Fire Cured Cigars. Come to find out, this is a line from Drew Estate which uses Kentucky Fire Cured leaf as the wrapper and Nicaraguan dark, air-cured filler tobaccos. The ones I bought was the Sweets version and it was sweet. Almost reminded me of the Swisher Sweets I smoked as a young man.
I fired up my Peterson POY 2014 this evening loaded with some C&D “Espresso”…..before I logged in and saw @PappyJoe with his Meers. I forgot it was time for MMM, I’ll try to get with the program. I have a shot of Luksusowa Polish potato vodka-sweet and tasty…for vodka anyway. I have the Licor 43 “on deck”.
Mmm, pork steaks😋 Have you ever tried fresh ground pork burgers, not sausage? My sister’s father-in-law made some for an Independence Day Celebration, it was the first I had ever seen them. They were mighty tasty.
Pork steaks? ———————————————————————————— A rabbi and a priest are eating lunch together. The priest leans over and says, "Is it still true Jews can't eat pork?"
The rabbi nods and says, "Yeah, and is it true you Catholic priests can't have sex?"
The priest sighs and agrees.
A few minutes later, the priest whispers to the rabbi, "Have you ever eaten pork?"
The rabbi looks abashed but says, "Yes, I ate a ham sandwich once. Did you ever break your vow of celibacy?"
The priest sighs and says, "Yes, once, she was beautiful."
The rabbi smiles and says, "Better than a ham sandwich, wasn’t it?"
@motie2 I have worked with and were friends with a number of members of the Jewish faith and I can only remember three or four who would not eat pork. Those two would go "vegetarian" on days when the rest of the unit were served pork.
The others would have different names that they would call the meat whether it was ham or something else. One of them would be first in line for a shredded BBQ rabbit sandwich.
I will say that before I met my late wife, I dated a girl who was Jewish. I never ate pork while we were out together.

Yea, I'm afraid I let MMM slip up on me as well. 🤪
I'll start it up on my next bowl.
Tnx @PappyJoe for reminding us...
The only thing this pipe has on it is, "Made in Turkey". Good smoker though...
Did you get approval from your dentist before clenching that sailing meer?
It's actually not that heavy.
Grilling up some pork steaks (look it up, it's a Midwest thing), while doing some Stokkebye 24 Nougat in a reworked noname...

Looked to my right and realized I had company... 😏
