30F degrees with about an inch of snow left. It’s a White Christmas here, and beautiful sunny day👍🏻. I’m a little bummed though, since I was down with something, I decided not to go to my family’s Christmas get together for fear of possibly passing it to my 82 year old mother. I think it is the first time in my life that I have not spent Christmas with my mom.
Anyway, I decided to pull the “smoke” trigger on this Comoy’s Christmas 1985 shape 16. The shank is also stamped with an H above the 16 stamp , I’m not sure of the significance, it might be shape H16? It is a Diplomat/Banker/Volcano, my vote is Diplomat. I bought this pipe 8-10 years ago unsmoked. This is its’ break-in bowl. I chose some C&D “Espresso” tobak, this tobacco just burns so fine for me, and it’s tasty too. I have a mug of Hot Strong Black Lipton tea with some added sump’in…Honey, Thyme, Lemon, Black Pepper, Ginger, and, oh yea, a splash of Bourbon😉. Merry Christmas!
It’s still Christmas🙂. I went wild with my antique tobacco rope cutter on some G,H & Co. “Sweet Coconut Twist” then loaded some in my Peterson Christmas ‘2023’ 03 for an evening after dinner smoke.
Well fellas, I think that was about the third time I’ve tried to smoke that tobacco. I love coconut, but there is no coconut flavor or aroma to that twist. I just cannot make it through a bowl of that sharp stuff, it’s not my bag man.
I started the day with GLP Westminster in an MM Apple Diplomat and I've moved on to GLP Kensington in a Pride. It's a beautiful day for the end of December and this pipe will get me through some outside chores.
