Just returned from a busy week in San Antonio. The SWMBO and I had a whirlwind of a time, but I still managed to get 4 bowls in during what little down time we had. I kept it simple with Lane BCA using my Cristiano Metamorfosi and my Mr. Brog...
@motie2 I can attest to Captain Bob's blend being a ghoster. It's the only blend I know that ghosted one of my cobs. If there was ever a Ghostbusters film for pipe smokers, Captain Bob's Blend would be the main villain.
@Londy3 I've really come around with that blue pipe. It's a nice pipe.
Currently smoking C&D's Morley's Best in my Emerald Cob.
@motie2, ok glad you’re expanding,as for me I don’t really like English blends or Latakia flavored blends, just not my cup of tea. Got an email from smokingpipes the other day talking about 29 new aromatic blends from Sutliff, found it confusing because many of the blends they mentioned we are all familiar with. Some I’ve never heard of but that could be my own ignorance. So I wonder if the new blends they mentioned are just new to their stock. Anyone clear this up for me?
Both Sutliff and Lane have a very wide selection of aromatics, most in bulk, but many tinned. The 27 new are new to their stock.... I think.... with nothing to back that up. I have had favorites from both companies. BTW, both feature a couple of English/Balkan/Latakia blends and a couple of English Aromatics, like Lane's HGL, named for their founder.
Also BTW, I am currently enjoying a blend of Lane Crown Achievement and Sutliff Panna Cotta. They are awesome together IMHO.
Relaxing with a 50/50 blend of Dulce de Leche and Caramello J2 in my Jost Regent, while enjoying my second cup of coffee. I should have put these 2 blends together a long time ago. They truly compliment each other IMHO...
With only one day off this week I'm feeling run down and burned out this morning. Doesn't help that its cold and rainy and all my previous injuries are acheing like crazy. Just fired up a bowl of Sutliff's Eastfarthing to help get me through the day.
@Michael308 ~ Spark Plug is another GLP Home Run. I usually try to smoke a few bowls of something before I make any judgements. After one bowl, I’m a Spark Plug fan. I highly recommend.
@motie2 Irish Creme with a 50/50 blend of Virginias and Burley. A nice aromatic, and the Burley contributes to making it more robust. If I was in the mood to "calm it down a notch", I would probably add 1/4 black Cavendish to the blend. But I am enjoying this blend as is... Thanks again SS... Too bad it's no longer available 😥
Don't know what the high was, but 68° here at the moment and taking advantage by doing some Creme Brulee in a reworked and refurbed noname while wetting a line in the pond across the street... By the way, I'm talking the St. Louis area... WHAT A DAY!

@KA9FFJ, thanks for the suggestion, good idea, little low on Panna Cotta, but will give it a try.

These advertisements he dug up are a blast...
What is the County Cork like?
