Lowland Pine in my MM “Mizzou” which I previously misidentified as a Legend. The crooked stem is cool and it’s very lightweight. Easy to clench as I type this.
My slight twist on the Mrs. Hudson’s Bakery Blend. When I put this together, I didn’t have the Sutliff Creme Brûlée or the Irish Cream. However, I had some home mix Captain Black Cavendish, rehydrated with apples and ghiradelli caramel. Added a pinch of Eileen’s Dream.
*its pretty smooth...I am enjoying it. Make no mistake though. I want to try the REAL blend soon.
@motie2 Great Outdoors definitely has nutty burley topped in vanilla. Some say there's a hint of anise, but I can't pull it out from the aroma or the flavor. This blend has Burley, Virginias and Cavendish. It's mostly cube cut, with chunks of Cavendish and portions of pressed burley flake. It seems to pack easily and easy to light. The room note is very pleasant and the Burley gives it a little body. I can see it becoming part of my loosely adhered to rotation. It provided me with a relaxing smoke. The blend is not overly moist, but I would recommend allowing a short drying time before packing. Bottom line... I liked it. (-10 points)...
I enjoyed a bowl of Sutliff Blend #5 in a Thompson Danish on my way home from work this morning. I'm expecting some deliveries today and am excited to break in a new pipe and try a few new English blends.
Taking a little booze cruise with these guys. Did a review of the Erin Go Bragh. Pretty decent burley blend and that’s coming from a guy whose not that big into burley. The whiskey comes into play after the first smoke. That’s when I started to taste it.
Today's mail brought my latest YouTube win!!!! An "estate" Italian EA Carey such as I have never seen, and despite my self-imposed limit of $20.00, I won the auction. An easy ream, clean, and disinfect. If it smokes as well as my other nine Carey's it will instantly become my best pipe (except for that one weird Charatan, which I could never afford; a gift from a dear friend). I also received in the mail two ounces of Lane VBC on @pwkarch's recommendation. I'll give my impressions by-and-by, and see if it can shake my hold on Barbados Plantation.
Don't quit the Barbados Plantation, just add the Sutliff VBC to your rotation (if you like it). You need to be a man of many flavors. I will admit that I have my favorites, and smoke them fairly regularly. I do however branch out at times, and the neat part is I have developed a "relationship" with blends other than my favorites. I think it is fun to retry some that I have just sitting around. In fact, in your honor, I am going to smoke a bowl of Barbados Plantation when I get back from a meeting tomorrow.
Another "upside" to smoking other blends is that some do not taste nor smell from memory like they did before. This is due to the aging process I am sure, and perhaps as we further develop our taste and olfactory senses we change (or possibly just appreciate) the way we judge those blends.
And most importantly, I do NOT want to be the one to break you and Barbados Plantation up after your sordid relationship.
Been smoking an old estate rusticated Peterson 313 that my friend gave me. Started the morning off with some 5100 and then had some Kramer’s Blend for Carey Grant this afternoon. Good pipe, good baccy, good day.

I am loving this. Definitely gonna keep it in my regular rotation. It’s like rum candy @motie2
