@motie2 Nice find. I enjoy watching old pipe tobacco commercials. They were long gone by the time I was watching tv as a lad.
I found two forums posts that I felt were worth sharing. The first comes from the pipesmokersforum, which I stumbled upon while searching for information on restoring my estate corndog pipe. The Corncob Companion:
The second comes from christianpipesmokers.net. It's a thread reviewing books about pipes and tobacco. Found a few books on there that I hadn't heard of before.
Ha! I tried posting this over a month ago. Not a big deal, but it makes me laugh. The above post was from over a month ago, but I gave up after I kept getting an error message.
@KA9FFJ -- Not sure what files you mean..... Please clarify and I'll post 'em here for your downloading pleasure. Or if you mean the theology ones, here they are:
This past weekend was the West Coast pipe Show. It is interesting that it has become very much a US carver’s show. Among the American carver was Nate King, J. Alan, Jerry Crawford, Bill Walther, Don Warren, Bob Keis, some of they guys from Briar Works, Toni Nielsen, (he lives in Kentucky ½ the year), Richard Friedman & Brad Pohlman to name but a few.
What is remarkable is that such a pool of talent did not exist stateside a decade ago. To see so many great American carvers develop and become recognized is wonderful. Some might ask is there an American style. Difficult to define but visible, it’s kind of a fusion between Danish influences merging with classic shapes with a uniquely American vigor & boldness. One of the definite qualities is that the sandblasting from each maker has it’s own signature. This combines, with what to me, is obviously a darker more intense staining technique than used anywhere across the pond.
Seeing this amount of talent on display was a real joy.
@motie2 allegedly is right I looked and did not see my name nowhere on there guess I got overlooked I did however see Rad Davis on there and for the price of one of his pipes it better be the best thing smoking. Probably doesn't smoke as well as my estate GBD. That being said I would still like to have one just to see.

@motie2 That would be a new genre I have not been exposed to (ended a sentence in a preposition = start over)
That would be a new genre to which I have not been exposed. Will you be able to post / add them to the other publications?
