SE Louisiana - about 30 miles east of New Orleans and 3 miles west of the Mississippi State Line. Originally from SE Texas. Have lived in Washington, State, Mississippi, Arkansas, New Jersey, Florida and New York City. Have traveled in every state (including Alaska and Hawaii) except those considered New England.

I have also spent time in New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Mexico, the Bahamas and Cuba. Spent 2 months in Antarctica.

@Philosopiper - I was born in Port Arthur. Went to school in both Beaumont and Vidor. Graduated from South Park High School in Beaumont in 1971.

I still have family in that area.

@PappyJoe I was born in Port Arthur and still have family there as well. However, most of my family lives in S. Louisiana. I'm always amazed at how small the world is.
