What's your pocketknife of choice.

My Dad told me "A man without a pocketknife is naked" He was a Master Sargent of Norwegian descent and I was later informed of an Old Norse saying " A knifeless man is a lifeless man." I guess he Americanized it, since the age of 9 I always carried a pocketknife from my 1st scout knife to my Schrade Old Timer Stockman with Carbon Steel blades model S0505 that I've had for way over 50 years. The Scrimshaw is so worn of that I have to move it in bright light to see the ghost of the 2 Racoons on it. I use as close to everyday as I can recall. It's 3 bladed A Clip blade, a Sheep's foot and a Spey. The Spey being not so pointed I use on the carbon in the pipe bowl. The Sheep's Foot is a utility knife and the Clip is used to pierce and long cuts. They have countless knife type uses. 

So; what's your daily carry? Tell us about it and what uses do you put it to?

I'm a knife guy too.  The one I seem to carry the most is my Benchmade 940. It's light, and I can open it with one hand, which is handy if I'm hanging off farm equipment. The blade is thick and tough enough to use around the farm opening seed bags, prying off bucket lids, cutting twine and rope, and just flat out abused. The S30V steel holds an edge a long time but is prone to chip on me every now and again. I have a GEC carbon stee knife that I've had on early reserve for the last six months, should ship this month that I'm looking forward to as well.

I recently stopped daily carrying my Kershaw Leek in favor of my new Zero Tolerance 350

I carry a small Gerber pocket knife. 

I keep my military issue K-Bar in my truck.

I carry a three blade AG Russell pocket knife that sounds like the same configuration @thewanderingdude has described, except instead of a spey I have a short paring blade. I use the sheep foot for cutting plug tobacco. Works like a charm!

Mine is a Kershaw Skyline, and usually a Case Mini Trapper that was a present from my FIL.

I carry one of three depending on the weather. If i'm wearing boots i have my cold steel peace keeper 3 in my boot. Otherwise i carry either an opinel # 6 or a Spyderco tenacious.

@thewanderingdude Agreed it is extremely light for its size. I really like it, just hope it doesn't go the way of most of my knives and get lost/left somewhere.  couldn't tell you how many I've left on the beach after cleaning fish.

I generally carry a small Old Timer, three blade, John Problem, 934, my wife gave it to me as an anniversary gift. 

As my Grandfather instructed me, that knives are like any other tool, pick the right one for the job at hand. I have a fondness for just about any Victorinox Swiss Army knives, have a few. A favorite for several reasons would be my Cold Steel Voyager with the clip blade. Cold Steel folders have the best and strongest locking system I have ever seen. My most recent knife purchase, an Opinel No. 08, carbon steel blade.

I am a collector so I have many knives (but more pipes), but I generally carry a small Gerber in my pocket and I keep a large Rockwell in my truck that has a seat belt cutter and a glass breaking point.  If you are looking for a starter knife, for a teen that might loose it, WalMart have a series of $5 knives that have surprised me with how well they hold an edge. My wife keeps one in her purse!  Like many of you, my father taught me early to always have a knife close at hand

I carry a Mikov auto made in the Czech Republic. Has all the essentials, a blade, can opener and a bottle opener/screwdriver and stylish stag scales.

Case Sodbuster, Jr. Not pretty, not fancy and relatively cheap.  Keeps an edge pretty well and does the job.

Being a watchmaker I have a Swiss Army knife which has a regular blade and a case opening blade. Had it for years. Before that the had a Remington that my Dad gave me when I work worked with him in the family hardware store.

I carry a case sodbuster, I have to remind scouts if they borrow it that in is not a lock blade and will close on their fingers if used incorrectly.

I always carry my Gerber "Dime" multi-tool. It gets used every day for all sorts of tasks. Wouldn't be without it !

Awesome seeing all the great knives people carry. For everyday use I usually use a cheap Ozark Trail. It hasn't failed me yet and if it breaks or is damaged no tears are shed. I guess this also why I like to smoke cobs haha. On my keychain I have a Leatherman multitool and I use that more than anything. I do have my eye on a nice Kershaw though.
