Just got a path shoveled to my shed. It is 9 degrees and sunny with no wind. It was 58 degrees in my shed. My passive solar heat is working, but only when the sun shines. I'll have a bowl or two of something after I eat some lunch.
It has warmed up to 34F today🙂. I’m smoking some C&D “Milk & Honey” in the Pete Rua Spigot XL02. My Ethiopian “Wush Wush” is staying at my perfect temperature in my Ember mug….man I love this mug. Yes, they are spendy, but it is everything it’s advertised to be. I have used other ways to keep my coffee/hot drinks warm, but this is “da bomb”, the other methods usually overheated my beverages of choice and it cost some flavor. I am a “slow drinker”, so it’s nice to have a drink stay very warm for an hour or so.
Enjoying Balkan Mixture in an MM Pride rather than the usual Diplomat. I had it loaded for my trip back from the cardiologist, but, my truck wouldn't start so I had to cancel the appointment. Probably just as well since I have a cold and they might not have seen me anyway!
Kramer Extra Smooth in my 1926 Dunhill. For a 96 year old piece of briar, it’s a damn good smoker. I have designated this Dunhill as my Non-aromatic pipe.
@Balisong It’s the only non aromatic I’ve smoked since September so right now it’s my go to for a break from the aros I normally smoke. I have about two ounces left and will probably order some more.
It was 28 degrees and sunny yesterday and It was 57 degrees in my Smoking Shed. After I got a Steroid Shot in my left shoulder joint to relieve arthritis pain, I came home and enjoyed some Capt. Black Gold in a Dr. Grabow Grand Duke. The Doctor asked me if the shot stung? I told him it felt like he was using a framing nail to administer it. Shoulder feels better already, hope it lasts awhile.
Burley Flake #2 in some sort of pipe that I can't remember the name of and I can't read the damn engraving on the bottom of it...it's a pretty nice pipe though
Kohlhase & Kopp Winter Time 2021 in my Stanwell HCA. The card inside the tin says, “Waffle, Vanilla & Caramel”. It’s my first bowl so I will have to let you know after I figure it out.
@opipeman Thanks man! The Lorenzetti's are nice pipes for the money (i.e., really cheap for a briar). 9mm usually (I typically smoke 6mm) but I put the standard adaptor in them and they still smoke really well. Plus, they are good at doing that thing with the darker stains that makes it really pop. I'm happy with this brand for sure.
Smoking some GLP Kensington in a rusticated Peterson XL-2 in the new smoking room.
Being able to sit and relax in warmth and smoke my pipe is something I have rarely been able to do thus far in life; smoking lounges don't count, too much cigar smoke.
I don't smoke my pipe the same in this environment, I actually use a tamper, my cadence is slower and I tend to smoke down to the dottle now.
Took a hiatus from working of late and I find myself planning my smoke time, Should of had the kids when I was younger

Enjoyed a bowl of Stokkebye Nougat in a Knute freehand...
I've been thinking about trying Extra Smooth, what's your impression of it?

I'll take that as a positive review and get some the next time I need some Father Dempsey!
I hope I look as good as that pipe when I'm 96. I wished I look as good as you, now.
16 penny nails never feel good! I've driven many through the bottoms of my boots when I was working in the drywall industry.
I love that pipe, brother!

Fribourg/Treyer Vintage in a Cellini Orginal. 😀
I've got a Pandora station for George Thorogood but it also plays a lot of Vaughn and his brother--excellent music!
