Had the cat, a shelter/rescue, since 2018. Half a tail. Hates human hands. Was in a hoarding situation. Very strong. Cannot be picked up. This is an uncommon display of tolerance for the shaved monkey.
@mfresa BEAUTIFUL CAT, and I am sure beautiful memories. We have 3 indoor cats that absolutely run the show here. Both my wife and I are in love with them. They are constant companions. Then we have an outside feral guy who adopted us over a year ago. He is also a lover but we know nothing about him medically (and can't afford to take him to the vet). He too is a lover. Last fall I built him a totally insulated house on our covered front porch. Inside his house he has a heated bed and is very comfortable. I usually feed him breakfast around 0500 or so and he pops out purring and is warm to the touch. He actually has no desire to get inside our house as I suppose he recognizes the boundary.
@pwkarch, thanks, I do miss her. When we got her she had been declawed and had bad teeth. We had to take her teeth out to keep them from killing her (they were infected), and she lived many happy years with us. I called her "Face In Bowl", which is when she was the happiest (eating), but yes she used to sleep with us and wanted me to brush her every night before bedtime. Cats can be brats!! but they are great. We now have two rescues, and yes, they run the house. I just bring in the cat food and provide a warm place to live. Gotta love it.
@RockyMountainBriar, personally I think the only difference between house cats and tigers is their size. If my cats weighed more than 10 pounds, they'd be harder to deal with. Fortunately I've tamed them with love. Even the one that bit me at the ASPCA now loves me to death. As long as I keep serving her, that is LOL
Felix (my current “king of the abode”) was a little lover when I got him at about 3 months old. Now he is a little “fart-knocker” and gets down right mean sometimes….but that is a cat for you. He is two now and an indoor only tomcat…maybe that has something to do with it. He really hates it sometimes when I leave for work, he throws his ears back, grabs my ankles and hisses. I’d like to add, the “myth” that male cats spray is hogwash…..but you can only have one cat at a time. I’ve had several tomcats and none ever sprayed in my house. On the flip side, my family had a couple of cats that were “fixed” that sprayed occasionally, they were not “my” cats. I’ll add, my father would never let us have a female cat.
@Zouave They'll figure it out. I'd feed them together and maybe you and your wife can walk them together, let the person the terrier likes the most walk with the new dog. Don't tolerate aggression.

Looks as if he already has the "play dead" command down to a science...😏
He's been a great addition to our household. A little too barky but very attentive and a great companion!

She had a nice life with caring people, enjoy the happy memories she gave back to you! We have four and enjoy their company and antics.
I love that self portrait, now that’s art:)
If I lived nearby, I’d make you an offer…..
Is she a Bloodhound, Shar Pei, Boxer?
Oh my! Be still my heart! Over the years, from age four until I left for college at 18, I had three Boston Terriers: Chica, Boots, and Boots.
