Re: Christmas Blends
Wow that sounds great. They all feel gimmicky to me. But alas i couldn’t resist all temptation and went with a couple of ounces of figgy pudding by country squire. Still haven’t tried it yet though. I think I’ll wait until after thanksgiving. Happy piping

Re: What are you guys smoking right Now?
@RockyMountainBriar I’m not saying it isn’t worth it but that’s too rich for me. Also smoking one for you tonight. A little bowsers castle in the refinished Dr. Grabow bent bulldog. So much Latakia.
Last night on the other hand was parsons blend which is an aromatic like I’ve been looking for. Reviews to come eventually.

Only a few friends (3), one is 30 miles away, another about 400, and another 1500. By those numbers, you would think I am a hated individual🤔. I definitely choose my friends wisely and carefully.

@Whoispra
Be advised, you will want a four jaw chuck, most wood lathes do not come with them. I have a Teknatool Nova G3, and @KA9FFJ’s looks to be a Nova G3 as well? I run mine on a Craftsman 101.21200/Atlas Mark II 6”x18” metal lathe. Vermont freehand has aluminum (tobacco pipe making) chuck jaws for the Nova G3, and Teknatool has several different types of woodworking jaws available.
P.S. Lathes and lathe tooling are a money pit, but they are awesome.

Re: RULES FOR GRUMPY OLD MEN TO LIVE BY
CONCLUSION
It is said that growing old is not for the faint of heart, which is as true a statement as there ever was. One day you look around and realize that all your heroes are gone. Things just aren’t like they used to be. As a young man you walk around with a Paul Newman Persona. Sixty years later you start to resemble Pablo Picasso or one of his paintings. Hardly anyone recognizes you anymore or remembers what you were or what you did.
Your grandchildren think of you as something special, each for their own reasons. I guess when you reach a certain point in life that’s not such a bad thing, but growing old is Bull Shit.

Very happy to hear your all doing well again. Kids can definitely bring stress but y'all did everything right. Parenting is best judgement calls and that's the best you can do. Be blessed.

Re: Christmas Blends
Cornell and Diehl's Jolly Old Saint Nicholas hits the right notes for a Christmas blend. Love the VA/Per note with black cav and light orange liquere. The room note is amazing.
