Re: Political & Social Debate
We don't need a "Yankee Tax", what we need is a requirement that all Yankees moving here vote republican/conservative. The issue we have down here is that Yankees come here for lower taxes, more freedom, higher quality of life, etc., then the jackasses vote for the same sort of idiot that reflects the crap they left up north in Yankeeland. We need a "Yankee Litmus Test"
We can swab them and if it turns red, they're conservative and can stay, but if it turns blue, they have to go back

Re: What are you guys smoking right Now?
Fired up a Luciano Bulldog with some Drew Estate “Grand Central”. The tin description on Tobaccoreviews.com mentions peach, but I’m only getting a little touch of coconut. It’s pretty tasty, I love coconut. I’m pairing it with a Gin Martini, kind of a strange pairing, but it’s working for me😉.
I’m still on the lookout for a nice smooth Luciano squashed Rhodesian similar to this squashed bulldog, and a smooth Luciano 2013 POY Eskimo? Still kicking myself for not buying one at the time, but it was very early in my pipe journey and did not want to spend the cashola. I think they were around $200 , maybe less…dang, dang, dang. If anyone has either that need a new home let me know🙂

Re: Pipe refinishing
In she goes, and while it was setting up, I worked on the stem.
Here's how the stummel looks now...

Taking "El Monstro" a recently self assembled pipe for a maiden voyage with some Lane 1Q.
The stummel cost me 2.50 at the pipe show, the stem was in a shoe box from an estate sale, and the small piece of rod cost me next to nothing.
All in all, I guesstimate my pipe cost me about 5 bucks...

Re: Other Hobbies
I'm playing in the studio again trying to get comfortable with oils. Just created a study of still life. I'm thinking about trying to do an actual painting next. But first, a pipe and some montepuciano!

The study.
