Re: What are you guys smoking right Now?
I was walking sideways along a downslope on a fairway Wednesday when I heard my left knee pop. It hurt a little, but not bad, and I easily finished the last 3 holes with very little, to no discomfort.
When I arrived home, I then mowed my yard.
Woke up yesterday and couldn't hardly move my knee without some discomfort to pain!
I've been hobbling around like Chester on Gunsmoke ever since. Bought a knee stabilizing brace and it seems to be working fairly well. But obviously no golf today, and probably all next week. I'm hoping after this short layoff, I'll be back to normalcy..🤞🏻
Meanwhile, doing some Frankenblend in one of my Frankenpipes...

I have some C&D “Sunbear Tupelo” from 2023 loaded in my 1964 Dunhill Tanshell, with a bit of 1800 Reposado tequila straight up and some soda water on deck for tonight’s festivities.

Loaded up my "The Pipe" Bulldog with some Barking Dog. I love my "The Pipe" Collection. They teach you to sip slowly and they are easy to keep clean.

Smoking some C&D “Strawberry Cavendish” in a BBB Tasman 725 this evening. Packing pipes with my vintage Phil-O-Matic” really works well for me. I think I may, on average, pack too tightly without it, it seems?

Re: What are you guys smoking right Now?
After 18, I decided to do some Dulce de Leche in a MM Ruby cob. Picked this pipe up while at the Las Vegas pipe show.
I've only smoked it twice, so I thought it was past due for a spin...

Re: Ok, Let's talk pipe tobacco(s).
<<While smoking a pipe can be a pleasurable experience for some individuals, it's essential to note that there are various health risks associated with smoking any tobacco product. However, from a historical and cultural perspective, some people may find certain aspects of pipe smoking appealing. Here are some potential benefits or pros that some individuals may associate with smoking a pipe:
- Relaxation: For some, smoking a pipe can be a way to relax and unwind. The ritual of packing the pipe, lighting it, and slowly puffing on it can be a calming and meditative activity.
- Flavor and aroma: Pipe tobacco comes in a wide variety of flavors and aromas, allowing smokers to explore different blends and experience a range of tastes and smells.
- Social aspect: Pipe smoking has a long history of being a social activity, with pipe smokers often gathering in groups to enjoy their pipes together. This can create a sense of camaraderie and community among enthusiasts.
- Tradition and craftsmanship: Many pipe smokers appreciate the tradition and craftsmanship that goes into making pipes. There is a certain artistry and skill involved in crafting a high-quality pipe, and collectors may value the beauty and uniqueness of different pipes.
- Mindfulness: Some individuals find that smoking a pipe can help them practice mindfulness and be present in the moment. The slow, deliberate pace of pipe smoking can encourage smokers to savor the experience and focus on the sensations and flavors.
It's important to emphasize that these perceived benefits are subjective and may not outweigh the well-documented health risks associated with smoking. >>
