Re: Pipe refinishing
I partially refilled the pits and performed a rustication on the stummel.

Re: Pipe refinishing
Thought I'd throw this one in. A never smoked little Kaywoodie stummel. I fitted a little churchwarden stem to it, cleaned the outside and gave it a light tan stain.
It came out ok IMHO.

Re: The Loot! - What's your latest tobacco purchase?
Hello Pipe and Tobacco Aficionados I hope all is well out there. The "Small Batch Sun Bear Navy Cask" loot has been opened, spread out and smoked. Now I am not one of those pipe smokers that can tell you how many assorted flavors I have found or tasted in a tin of pipe tobacco. However I can tell that I received the pipe tobacco, I opened the tin and I stuffed it into my pipe and started to enjoy the blend. Yes it smells very nice and yes I do smell something that resembles figs because I like figs :-). I first folded and stuffed in a meerschaum pipe straight out the tin and it was a very nice slow smoke, very nice all the way. Next I rubbed it out and smoked it in a corn cob, not bad the fold and stuff was much better with much more flavor in my opinion, I did not taste the "honey". With age this blend could see a lot more game time, right now I'll keep at farm/aaa until I pull back up. :-)

Re: Pipe refinishing
Fitted a stem for a Sam's Town 343. Didn't bother with documenting, but it's another pipe that's now ready for someone's rotation...

Re: Pipe refinishing
Meanwhile I worked on the stem and step sanded it to a polished shine.
Then finished the stummel.
Here's the final:

Re: Other Hobbies
I bought another used, vintage, white gas camp stove. I just had to straighten the tin slightly, otherwise, it fired up first try with no issues. I made me a cup of cowboy coffee, this little percolator does not have any “gut’s” or a lid. I parted it out for another, nicer one that was missing some parts.
The stove is an Optimus 80, probably from around the 70’s, although it might be older?
