Well Brothers I burned my first bowl since last year in celebration of my last Knee Rebab. session. I tried a bowl of Granger. It reminded me that my mouth was a little out of practice and burned more than my tongue slightly. I then tried a bowl of LL7 which was much cooler and enjoyable. Both Tobacs were smoked in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 404. it was good to enjoy my hobby again after such an absence. As soon as I'm off pain meds, I'll try two fingers of me Irish again.
Sorry guys for not stopping by TPL lately. Closing on our house June 2 and I've been busier than a cat covering! Just 3 more weeks and we'll be in our downsized house. What a headache it's been, but I know it's for the best. Anyway, my prayers are with you guys...
@pipeman83 I know what your talking about. It seems like a lifetime since I've been able to smoke my pipe on a regular basis. I know one thing for sure - once I get going again I'll be setting all the smoke alarms off in my house.
Thank you Brothers for the well wishes. My Physical Therapist said it will take 6 to 12 months before I'm totally healed. I said are you telling me that it might be a year before I can Bull ride again. Did I say Bull ride, I meant Bull Shit. She said you are already there.
Brothers; I check in on a daily basis, but haven't had time to post much. My bride and I are busy planning a brunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary in early July.
"Immediate needs" projects are now beginning to wain. As you can tell from the refinishing thread, I'm starting to get back into the hobby, and now able to get a little pipe work done in between painting and landscaping. I really like the house, especially the neighborhood... nice and quiet. Starting to feel like home, but downsizing is still a real pain in the butt... Bottom line: if you don't have to move... don't...
@KA9FFJ; I for one am glad to see you back in the groove. Painting and landscaping are change of pace activities, and don't last forever. Hope you and your Bride are happy with your new home.
@KA9FFJ Luckily? I won’t need to downsize, my house is so small. If I did, I might as well live in my late dog’s fully insulated dog house, I’d just need to add a door with a lock. At 750 square feet my house is a tiny house built in 1953, ahead of its’ time maybe🤔 with the new “tiny house” trend.

I failed to mention on the previous post that on the third of July my bride and I will have been married 60 years.

Thank you both for your kind words.
Congratulations.
Thank You. My Bride is the one that deserves all the credit.
How do you like the new place? Getting settled in?

Sounds like the old saw about, “My house is so small the mice are stoop-shouldered.”
