Last week my oldest came down with COVID, Sunday night it finally hit me like a ton of bio engineered bricks. This is the second time I have had it, and this time was not fun. I would like to officially say, Im f-ing tired of this shit.
@Zouave Sure it wasn't the flu? In the 2020 flu season we had over 35 million flu cases, but only one year later in the 2021 flu season we had just a little over 2,000--somehow, then, the number of flu cases miraculously fell by a whopping 99.99%...in other words, covid either completely wiped out the flu (for some odd reason) or there was a ton of misdiagnosing going on. I'm not questioning what you think you might have had, I'm just saying that it's entirely possible that whatever test you took was picking up the flu and not covid, and as we all know, the flu always hits with "a ton of bricks". And I'm also not saying that covid isn't a legitimate 'thing', of course it is, but there is a high probability that there is a lot of flu mixed in there as well. Even now, as covid testing has fallen dramatically, and again seemingly miraculously, flu cases are on the rise back to what were normal levels.
@vtgrad2003 I assumed since my son and myself both tested positive on separate occasions that it was covid. Who knows it could be the flu. Either way I'm still going to blame China.
@Zouave I'd blame em too, why the hell not I just wish at some point in the future they develop a test for covid...i.e, one that actually works not one like there is now. If covid is as serious as they say, given the differences in the treatment of covid versus, say, the flu, it would be nice if the diagnoses were accurate so the correct treatment could be rendered.
@vtgrad2003 I'm not worried about treatment. I stopped by my local pharmacy today and stocked up on all the essentials. This should treat COVID and cure my chilblains and distemper plus put some hair back on my head.
@mapletop Funny, I was reading that originally the F Troop tribe name was going to be exactly that, but they didn’t sneak it past the censors at the time.
Just got home from an appointment with me surgeon to take the super glued tape(or whatever it is) off. He said I'm looking good but it will be around April before I'm totally healed, but I can drive in another month. Me thinks, if I can drive I can have a bit of the Irish and a bowl. So that's the plan, God willing.
Yesterday was a time for reflection and giving thanks. I survived by-pass surgery two years ago, I'm recovering nicely fro shoulder surgery five weeks ago. I have a beautiful wife, two great children and three granddaughters that I love more than meself. I have friends I've know since Junior High. I've retired from a life of giving to others. I have friends I've never meet on TPL. To top it all off, I turned 79. Life is good!
Congrats! All those are true accomplishments you should be damn proud of!!!! You'll be the last remaining jackass on this site at 117 years old and still screaming at kids to get the hell off your lawn!!! You'll outlive all of us you bastard!!!
@vtgrad2003; At 117, I'll shoot anyone on my lawn. What are they going to do, give me life? @RockyMountainBriar; It was March 7. Thank you Brother. @KA9FFJ; You couldn't be more correct, Brother. @Londy3; You are severely correct, Brother.

Ahh, The Hekawi tribe.
Funny, I was reading that originally the F Troop tribe name was going to be exactly that, but they didn’t sneak it past the censors at the time.
That's excellent news! In another month you'll be able to do this!
You are a sick man! Funny but, sick none the less.
I never said I was sane!
Know thyself is the first step.

Not sure when your BDay was, but Happy 79th.
I have found that a thankful and grateful life usually generates a basically happier life.
Good for you brother...good for you... 👍🏻
You are severely blessed.
