@buflosab I have been drinking this brand of coffee for years. I have never had a blend I didn't like. That being said I have canceled my subscription for now because a friend of ours has a coffee farm in Honduras that is finally producing amazing quality coffee that I roast myself. Nothing can beat that fresh of coffee. But try the Black Rifle! You can't go wrong with it! Great company who hire Vets.
While on a road trip a few days ago I came across an old brick building (possibly once a factory) converted into a small indoor mall in the Amish town of Napannee, Indiana. There I discovered a little tea shop, and on a table marked down 40% was a collection of loose tea in canisters from a company called "Elmwood Inn Fine Teas". I picked up a pair - "Lavender Earl Grey" and "Christmas In A Cup". Today I'm enjoying a cup of "Christmas In A Cup" while smoking a bowl of CAO Moontrance in my Cassillero 591 pipe. The spicy tea pairs quite well with the fruity flavor of Moontrance.
I've been trying to find the brand Merica bourbon, but unfortunately SC doesn't sell it as of yet. On our trip to TN I realized they sell it. So I found some, bought it, and had a glass with some TCS Hunting Creek. Great pairing and couldn't ask for a more American drink. Founded and made by a bunch of veterans.
Drinking some black coffee right now. But it's May 10th already in Australia and at 9:00PM tonight my time here in TN my son will be getting married in Australia. They will be streaming it via the internet, so I will be able to watch it in TN. At that time I will be drinking some Bulliet Rye. If you folks get a chance go watch the video I did for him called "Message To My Son" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhuS0IU-7ys&lc=z22qyzfzwnfiwx5yg04t1aokgf31hrjkhkls1vyi1cvhbk0h00410
The only hard liquor I've had in four years has been rum. This should be interesting.
I know, I know: As a full grown adult male I'm supposed to drink Scotch with hard to pronounce names, but I had an ....uh.... "accident" involving Scotch in college, and today the smell nausiates me.
@motie2 - No,no,no...that's for mad dogs and Englishmen. This is good Ol'e Southern sippin' Kentucky Rye. Try it on the rocks, 3 fingers, 4 cubes, let it stand 5 minutes and sip it slowly. It's nice and smoky. The only other way to do it is neat, but that's if you just want to get blasted. I don't think you do...but dang, that's a pretty picture!
Had Folgers with my after dinner Carter Hall and then Lipton tea with a bowl of Captain Black classic. I ate to be up T 0400 tomorrow for work so no alcohol tonight.
It's the first Sunday of the month so we have a S.O.B. pipe club meeting today. Ole'Pops has a little bottle of Bulleit Rye stashed away in his back pack to pass around the fire. Special times calls for special sauces, don't you think?
@motie2 ~ agree with Pappy...sort'of. Jameson by a long shot. Tullamore D.E.W. taste cheap. It's a bit hard to get around here but that's OK, there ain't much call for it. They do make an 18 year old single malt that I've never tried, but it's pricey.
@jfreedy ~ There ain't nothing in the world I like better than a glass of Iced tea. I'm by iced tea like Uncle Sy or Boomhauer, but I haven't had a glass since 2009. In "09" I passed a freakin' 6.5mm kidney stone and had to have surgery on another slightly larger one to break it up so I could pass it. At that time the doctor told me that the culprit was a particular drug I was taking for epilepsy in combination with the amount of iced tea I consumed. I used to bust my head open having seizers, so I figured I need to stay on the drug. I wash them down with plenty of filtered water these days.
Enjoying some Guave/Cranberry juice after yard work while partaking of the briar... What can I say, I've gotten older, and juices have become part of my regiment... 🙄
