Speaking about PAD and TAD, can control my PAD, I guess but , my TAD are completely out of control and have a lot fun trying news blends like also buying and putting away those that I like.
My last alcoholic drink was Champagne at a show meeting yesterday to organize the packets for all the vendors at the show. Recently, I enjoy coffee with a pipe. When it gets warmer, it will be ice water or tea.
Thanks @KA9FFJ , Were were prepping for the pipe making seminar which starts tomorrow at the Chicago pipe show and I had about a half pint of Lagavulin left in the bottle, so that was our reward tonight.
Wish you guys could all make it, it a great time with a great bunch of guys.
@PappyJoe Since you seem to be a gin guy, you need to try Montgomery Distillery’s Whyte Laydie Gin (If you can get it there). It is made in Missoula, Montana. It has the smoothest, silkiest, mouthfeel of any gin I have tried, and I’ve tried a few😀 I think I will have me a swig😋...mmm tasty.
@RockyMountainBriar - It just goes to show how your tastes can change... or what happens when you finally get a taste of a quality brand. I really hated Gin up until about two years ago. I think the problem was everytime I tried it, it was the cheaper gins. Then I was given a "sampler" of three small bottles of St. George Gin. That opened my tastebuds to what good gin is supposed to taste like. St. George has 3 types: Dry Gin, Terroir (has Douglas Fir, California Bay Laurel & Coastal Sage among the botanicals) and Botanivore (which has 19 botanicals). Even the Dry Gin is special because it is a 100 percent pot-distilled rye based gin.
I've cut way back on the amount I drink and I probably only have one drink a day on the days I do have one. The last bottle of Gin I bought lasted me three months.
Strong black coffee that I roasted myself last week. I’m actually overcome with gratitude at the goodness of God which is present in the form of premium tobacco and fine coffee.
@PappyJoe I have to say, my taste buds aren’t that picky. I can drink the cheap stuff, the middle stuff, the high end...I don’t really care, Gin, Tequila, Bourbon, Whiskey, etc. I like most spirits, beer and wine.....not so much. Now, that being said, I do prefer good quality spirits, and I have pretty good tastebuds that can suss out minute flavors when required🙂 I do not imbibe much at all, a drink a week is probably more than I average, and occasionally 3-4 drinks at most on “party” nights..Christmas, 4th of July, occasional birthdays celebrations, etc. On another note, I like Miller’s Gin for Gin & Tonic, lots of nice botanicals for a refreshing summertime drink. Alas, I cannot find it here anymore🙁
@RockyMountainBriar. Even as I Type this I am smoking a bowl of Red Rapparee and have a glass filled with one part Hellcat Gin to three parts tonic. With a twist of lime.
@PappyJoe Wish I was there, maybe you would share🙂, and I would bring the Whyte Laydie to share😁, and we would both have a great time I’m sure🥃🍸 Cheers Sir.
