@Londy3,I grew up on the East side also, North Collinwood, Euclid Beach Park was practically in my backyard, spent the first seven years of my life there, was sad when it closed down,I moved to Richmond Hts.after my folks passed away, I currently live in Mayfield Hts.
Is a convicted sex offender that used his position as a youth pastor to prey on and molest children. A truly despicable human being that should really be behind bars, not receiving the limelight and mic time he's experienced thus far.
We as a state have had many transplants from MA, NY and NJ over the last couple of decades, many of which want to bring their own brand of politics to the state.
Truly a sad sad state of affairs here right now. Nothing substantive getting accomplished @ the States Capital at all.
to be clear, I didn't start the conversation. It was merely a response to your NYT article post.
The point I was trying to make, maybe poorly so, was that the main stream media outlets were typically all to ready to blow this issue completely out of proportion, as always, without vetting the source.
Once information surfaced about this persons past, the MSM's all but completely ignored it.
All of this obviously just one of many things wrong with our society, government and media nowadays.
@motie2, yes,I loved both of those rides, but the rocket ships were my favorite, there is a gentleman who lives in the area who purchased one of the old rocket ships and built a working automobile out of it, titled and licensed, he drives it in the summer and you can see him just driving it around and he will give people rides in it, he gets hired by a lot of communities to bring it to their festivals to give rides, and also brings it when they have an annual Euclid Beach Day , which is put on by a local Euclid Beach nostalgia club called the Euclid Beach Nuts, I've been in it a few times and it's fun, brings back a lot of memories.
