Several of us have seen the pre- release of the documentary "Father the Flame",I enjoyed it but others might have differing opinions,what are your thoughts?

I have been waiting to see this doc since 2012, so needless to say, my thoughts are that I am ready to view it in it's entirety.

I didn't attend the premier in Chicago but I understand they are going to tweak the cut they showed in Chicago and do some film festivals before they put out the DVD and downloads.

I saw the first viewing at the Chicago Show. There were some really good parts and some that could use some editing. I loved seeing how the briar was harvested, cut and carved. 

Everyone at the showing was intent on the sections that covered the Chicago Pipe Show. No, I could not find myself in the video, but I remember them filming in previous years.

Ive been waiting a couple of years for this one, props to the 6 year guys. I look forward to it’s possible release.

Looks like FTF will be screening at the Chicago International Film Festival this weekend.  Looks like they will be screening it on Friday (10/12) and Sunday (10/14).  Wish I had the time to make a weekend trip to the windy city this weekend!

Has anyone heard how FTF went at the Chicago International Film Fest in October? I see from their Facebook page that at least the directors made it to Chicago for this. So I assume it actually happened. Any word on when us commoners get to see the film?

I’d guess they will show the festival cut at the Chicago Show in May.
