My three Falcons and my Kirsten. These are all cool smoking pipes and yes two of the falcons are ones that smelled like death, now they are like new and yes I have smoked out of them. lol
Thought I'd check back in and give members a quick update and follow-up to the Nording Eriksen. I've put the pipe through it's paces and it came out like a champ. Just clean the bowl after two or three smokes and change the stones and you've got yourself a nice pipe. $24.00 well spent.
I had a Kirsten back in the 1990s. It was a good smoking pipe, but for reasons that I don't remember, there was something that didn't quite suit me about it. I ended up giving it to another pipe smoker who really liked it. Unlike the Falcon pipes the only thing that you'll ever have to replace are a couple of rubber O-rings you can buy at Home Depot every five years or so. One thing you'll have to be careful about is to not screw the bowl to the stem too tight. Over time you may strip the threads; and even then that can be fixed with a heli-coil or keen-sert. They are nice pipes.
When I decided to get a hunter with a brown bent stem, I wanted the largest bowl. I found a site that gave measurements and determined that the Dover was the largest of those I found for sale.
I had at least one stem and a couple of bowls in my early years, probably left them behind during a move. I've been wanting to try one again but can't find stems!
I frequent several pipe forums. A while ago, one of the forums decided to have their Pipe of the Year as a Falcon bowl. If they didn't already have a Falcon stem, go to eBay. I think I paid about $15 for a stem and bowl. I enjoy this pipe.
I have a couple of Falcon bowls I got in a lot purchase. I was going to chuck them up in the lathe and convert them to Kirsten bowls by cutting off the external threads. Maybe I’ll just buy a Falcon to screw them into, who doesn’t need another pipe🤔
Have 2 Falcons one USA one English. The made in England now is topped by a meerschaum bowl. Both are great smokers but fussy little things. Your always mucking about with dry rings, swabbing the bowl or both.

Perhaps a more conservative stem for a Falcon bowl?
