I’m not sure about the Christmas Spice. I have found only one or two Sutliff tobacco that were…ok, they are mostly sopping wet and bite like a Cane Corso.
Firing up, a spiffed up, new-to-me Kirsten loaded with some Dunbar. It’s nice to have friends, even if I have never met them face-to-face. Thanks brothers.
@RockyMountainBriar You're correct when it comes to most Sutliff blends. Took the Christmas Spice and spread it out on paper towels for 24 hours before jarring it. Seemed to take a lot, not all, of the excessive moisture out...
@KA9FFJ; I haven't asked any Brothers to start a list of pipes to leave me. The chances of me living longer than any of you lads are slimmer than ..... whatever I as talking about.
Had to have my yearly smoke of Figgy Pudding by Country Squire, in a homemade churchwarden. It finally stopped raining so I got outside for a bit. Yay!!
Made a jaunt with the wife to Old St. Charles, MO. today. Naturally I stopped by the John Dengler B&M. Dengler, tobacconist, established the store in 1917. Handed down from generation to generation, his granddaughters husband has been running the business for MANY years. Unfortunately his wife passed away 2 years ago. Things have been pretty rough for him lately, and he has decided to sell the building and hopefully the business with it next spring. Anyway, bought more Pirate's Chest, loaded up my MM Charles Towne (thought it an appropriate pipe), slowly walked the historic site while dozens of people complimented me on the aroma and, in a couple of cases, told me how it reminded them of their father, uncle, etc. Of the HUNDREDS of people there, I only recieved 2 "stink eyes" . It was a good day...
@KA9FFJ; Sad that the old B&M's are dying out. I think I'll live long enough to see, that it will all be all online eventually. I can't define that as progress.
@KA9FFJ I wondered if I might need to add that Pete Meerschaum to “the list”🙂
@opipeman I could start a list for you, then you would have another “goal” to strive for🙂. You never know, my dad passed at 62, that’s less than 4 years away for me😳 Of course, I don’t slug down a 12 pack of ‘Lucky Lager” and freight train 6 packs of cigarettes a day either. I have been in at least ten motor vehicle and motorcycle accidents and other various “close calls”. You never know when your number is up. So far, mine is still “in the hat”.
@KA9FFJ Sad story. It's a shame to let all that history go. You know whomever buys the building with the business will rent the space out to something like a mattress store or law office. Ugh

Nice looking pipe. Those Jets are becoming harder and harder to find... 👍🏻
When you reworks them, they look likes new. Well done!
I see you have the shades pulled so they don’t catch you smoking inside 😉😬🙂
Cool Wade!
@RockyMountainBriar I think you would enjoy this Christmas blend...🤞🏻
If my Bride baked those, I'd eat them all and end up in a Diabetic Coma. God help me through this time of year.
I wish I was a kid in your neighborhood.😋

He's putting it on MY list...
