Back to my usual spring time gig driving a dump truck delivering for a landscape supply company. Its reasonably safe as I don't really interface with anybody.
Anyway, I smoke 3 to 4 bowls a day and to make thing interesting, this week I have smoked tobacco from a different brand each day.
Today was Peter Stokkebye. so I had Proper English, English Luxury, English Oriental Supreme and Luxury twist Flake, in smaller pipes.
Lane L:L7, a good shock, or a bad shock? I have that on my list to try, but I have read it is very similar to Lane 1Q in taste and aroma. It seems to me that there are so many Vanilla / Honey blends already out there, comments?
@Londy3 Looking good as always, brother! Glad we chatted again tonight. A little disappointed we didn't see what was for dinner, but maybe next Friday (lol) !
@pwkarch Sorry I'm just getting back to you. Had grandkids all day, catch up work after they left, VTPL this evening. Boy, it's tough being retired! Anyway, LL7 to me seems smoother and, for some reason, stays lit easier. I just think it's a more flavorful than similar blends. IMHO, definitely worth a try ...
@Balisong I enjoyed it. It had a little less flavor than the original Bengal Slices. But I think aging in a jar may help with this. If you like the original Bengal Slices then you won't be disappointed you got the White!
@pwkarch sorry for delay. To me, LL7 is a smooth all day blend. It burns consistently from top to the bottom of the bowl and taste good the whole way. The room note is pleasant so nobody will look at you like you have five heads, snarl at you and wave their hand under their nose. The flavor is mild. Kind of nutty, vanilla, caramel and slight oak. These characteristics pair great with your favorite bourbon or red wine. This has become my go-to tobacco.
Smoking some Scotty's "Trout Stream" in a beat-up old work pipe I got out of a basket at Tinder Box several decades ago. A great little smoker. Really love that "Trout Stream". It's a great all day aromatic.
