Deep Hollow - it is probably as non-aromatic as any aromatic you can find. Very mild, sweet but not too sweet. Lights well and burns easily after having popped the tin 2 months ago.
Since we're well into the holiday season I'm mainly smoking special holiday blends like "Corn Cob Pipe And Button Nose", Sutliff's "Christmas Spice" and winter blends like Russ' "Warm-Up" and "Snow Drift". I've also continued to puff on my favorite autumn blend Sutliff's "Pumpkin Spice". It seems to be in keeping with the holiday tradition.
Perla's Blend in a graceful Savinelli Deluxe Prince. whilst listening to jazz, surf, heavy metal and disco covers of traditional Holiday music...which is just about the only way I can tolerate traditional Holiday music. Faves are Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Winton and Ellis Marsalis, David Beniot and Salsoul Orchestra and Gary Hoey.
SG Balkan Flake I set aside in June 2014 in a Cayuga pot. The Virginias in this flake are definitely sweeter with age - I had to check to make sure I had not opened the Navy Flake jar instead of the Balkan.
Today is Captain Black original Day, So I've got my Doctor Grabows lined up and ready to fill. Coffee, scotch, and rum are all in the rotation for getting me cooked !
"OLIO" in a Charatan SPECIAL 373DC. A very comfortable to hold while I am typing Boolean search strings...has the typical Charatan stepped bit.
OLIO...dribs and drabs of this and that. It's all English-style--just the left-overs and too-big to throw-away remanents of blends I've been working on....
Working on finishing off a tin of Egg Nog but I received a tin of Corn Cob Pipe & A Button Nose in my stocking. I couldn't resist opening it and have already smoked 6 bowls of it.
Finished a bowl of CD Epiphany in a Peterson Donegal Rocky, a recent aquisition. Had tried some of the old Revelation many years ago, decided to try the three current versions, C&D Epiphany being one of those, Sutcliffe R and Match Revelation, the others. Good time to be a pipe smoker, many blends to choose from.
