By the way congrats on being able to enjoy a bowl now and then. I was looking for a euphemism for pipe smoking to use here and couldn't think of one so I tried a search and that did not yield anything really.
However as a result of the search I found this

which struck my funny bone ( particularly the commentary), if I could find a tobacco pipe like the one in this link I'd smoke it, my wife would certainly question my sensibilities though.
Another double bowl night. Drew Estate Grand Central and Boswell Cupcake. Smoked it in my Corey Pipe. The Boswell Cupcake is an exceptional aromatic blend whereas the Drew Estate Grand Central isn't something I'd give a glowing endorsement (not bad but not something I'll repurchase when the tin is empty).
Smoky today and I have not even lit my pipe yet. Lots of smoke from wildfires here. Cutting off some of my homegrown (2016 crop), hand twisted, Bourbon soaked rope today. I’m going to have to let it dry a bit before I stuff it in my EACarey Pipe.
Very nice Tobacco cutter, best condition I've ever seen, patented in 1880, ah they just don't make stuff like that anymore.
So the question I have to ask is, given the effort to grow your own and go through the rest in the process; in the end are you happy with the results, or said another way does it turn out well enough that if it was for sale, would you buy it?
Went to a christening this afternoon and many of the family and friends were cigarette smokers; so it was a rare day where I could smoke my pipe among people I did not know with impunity as it were.
Smoked some C&D Pirate Kake in my Sunday go to meetin Peterson Killarney Red XL 90, Ah twas a fine afternoon.
@mapletop It is not the original paint. I cleaned it up, repainted it, sharpened and adjusted the blade. I have a STAR plug cutter I refurbished also. I put more ornate pin striping on it though.
Finally got the tobak dried out and lit up. I won’t say it is the best tobacco I have smoked, but it is smokable. Pretty good for seed to leaf by a Montana boy that had never seen a tobacco plant in “the wild”🙂
Smoked some vintage early 1970s Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey Pipe Tobacco in my 1970s Dr. Grabow bulldog. I bought that pipe in 1978 specifically for Borkum Riff.

Smokin the Carey with the papyrus in🙂
The Star plug cutter.
Smoking Esoterica Margate in my Marcus Cob. A nice way to relax after a hectic weekend.
@RockyMountainBriar -- Very interesting stuff, especially about your rope tobacco and cutter. Thanks for sharing.
