@Corey562 ~ your pipes, @RockyMountainBriar ~ your pens! You guys are in a class by yourselves! I would take my hat off to you both, but I wouldn't want to blind anyone! KUDOS!!!!!
I finally brought the first pipe I made out of the cabinet today after a long hiatus. I made it from a pre-drilled block. I think the person that drilled it must have been cross-eyed. The draft hole was drilled way off center and not square with the block. I had to cut the shank short and add an oak extension to straighten it. I installed an internal stainless steel tube to strengthen it. I used a “plastic” washer as a spacer between the shank and extension. The stem is a vintage Bakelite stem from a “bag-o-parts” I had purchased in a lot of pipe parts. I made this pipe in 2013, before I purchased my lathe, with hand tools and my drill-press. It smokes fine, it’s just a bit “Frankenstein” and strangely shaped, but I guess that is part of the learning process. It’s a little over 7” long with a 13/16” diameter 1 3/4” deep tobacco chamber.

Those are looking pretty sharp. Wait’in for the “shine”🙂
(no pic came thru)
Finished the straight pot after I got the yard work finished.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Shiny....How did you know that one was my favorite of the three😀
Thank you sir. I don’t wear a hat, but I don’t care if I blind others with the blazing shine off of my chrome dome.
Nice, looks like you are not messing around with the small stuff🙂

It definitely has character🙂

Yep EBay....they are from China and probably poisonous, but hey...I live dangerously.
