@mfresa yeah, I posed the shank extension question to @Corey562. I was asking you about the total length of your pipe (which is quite well done by the way)...
@KA9FFJ, I hope so. A guy I work with is getting it for his brother-in-law, a cigar smoker. I told him if he smokes this he will give up cigars, as pipe tobacco is so much better tasting (at least to me it is).
@mfresa great looking pipe as for the taste of cigars I have some pre ban cubian Bolivars that are just wow and thats all I can say about them. I also have some coffee infused drew estate cigar that are great.
@Corey562, you are going to have to share one of the Bolivars with me... . I used to smoke Drew Estates traditional blends, and they were very good as well.
@mfresa I can do it I was lucky to come by them one of my dearest friends and smoking buddies had them they were well maintained and are still in great condition given the age of them I am down to 15 left.
@KA9FFJ I do when the material presents itself. To me it seem like the wood has to just scream leave me alone. I will look over my blocjs and see if I cant come up with one to make....
Presently on a short golf trip and just now got around checking TPL. Boy, am I glad I did @Corey562 ! What a great looking pipe! You never cease to amaze me...
@jfreedy, yes, I made that from scratch (the wood part). The stem is cast from vulcanized rubber, and was unfinished when I got it, so it had to be fit, shaped, sanded, polished, etc. PS @Corey562 taught me how to do it :-)
Alright I am gonna be posting some pics of all of my latest pipes I have about 19 in all I am going to break up the set of 6 freehands so if you all see any you like let me know...
