@Corey562 Yes, I can see lightening up the sides a little. Give some contrast with more visible grain. It looks great and can hardly wait to see it when finished. Still keeping your Pa and family on my list. Hope things are showing some improvement...
STUNNING! @Corey562 I wish I would have had them at the show today. I probably could have gotten a really good price for you. I can hardly wait to see what you have in mind for a display box for them...
@Corey562 Great shape... very classic looking and I like the acrylic stem. It's gonna be a beauty. Most importantly I'm glad to here your Dad's home. I hope things continue to go well...

A father -- a friend -- has passed and times change.
Yesterday's gone, and a relationship once rich has ended.
But there is another way to look at this.
If our lives went on the same, without him,
one might think that the life we remember
added nothing, meant nothing.
The fact that he leaves behind a place that cannot be filled
is the highest tribute and testimony of his worth.
Our tradition teaches that when a person loses a pearl,
it may be lost, but it is still a pearl …. but in a different place.
That we do not see it does not change the reality.
So, too, it is with the soul of a human being:
Its beauty never fades.
Your father lives in the peace of life eternal,
but, more than that,
in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
