@motie2 "If you are lonely when you're alone, then you're in bad company" Don't remember much about him, but I know he was referenced a few times in my existentialism class. However. I do remember that quote, and that he liked excerpts on freedom, and responsibilities that came with it...
I avoided the schools of philosophic thought and the only thing I remember of the existentialists is the idea that existence precedes essence and acceptance of that leads to despair. I took the topical classes logic, knowledge, mind etc.
Can you imagine if everybody drove one of those? It would give new meaning to a sideswipe.😳. Think about being a bike messenger or even a pedestrian, fa-get-abou-it.
I don't know if you can call him "famous". I mean, I can't even remember his name. But here's a casual picture of the 60's group Buffalo Springfield. There's Steven Stills and Neil Young on the right. Next to Neil is what-his-name. Those 3 were the main song writers, but I digress. Chech out the other 2 members on the left. The pipe smoker... he definitely was a member, but my brain can't pull their names in focus. Any help out there? By the way, I've seen another pic with him clenching his pipe, but I can't find it yet...
@Balisong Tnx for the comeback. Crosby was never a member of Buffalo Springfield as far as I can remember. But now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure that is Richie Furay next to Neil Young. I belive it was the drummer who smoked a pipe, and I think his name was Dewey Martin.?.?...
<<In 1967 David Crosby joined Buffalo Springfieldon stage at the Monterey Pop Festival, which contributed to his dismissal from the Byrds. He subsequently formed Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1968 with Stephen Stills (of Buffalo Springfield) and Graham Nash of the Hollies.>>
Nice find @KA9FFJ! The prior photo made me think Crosby because of the link of bands that lead to CSN&Y. The sometimes right internet claims Crosby sat in for Young at the Monterey Pop Festival and co-wrote and possibly backup vocals on "Rock & Roll Woman." For what it's worth.

Be sure to seek out the movie Loving Vincent.
Scary. Almost a deep fake. The pipe seems hyper-real.
