Memorial Day
Hello Pipe and Tobacco Aficionados, I hope all is well with each and everyone and that your day is a great day, I personally feel that everyday is a good day if you're vertical, as we use to say. I would like to thank each and every one of you who served this country and for those who supported the warriors as they served in battle. I send special salutes out to all of our battle buddies who are no longer with us and I ask that you pour a little out for them, (you know what I mean). Please salute those who went and paved a way for others to follow, those who went before us, those who went with us and for those who will follow. My dad once said to me when he found out that joined the service, he stated, most men can join the military but every man can't fight a war and during war while (on the battle field), men will change right before your eyes. I once again thank you and please remember our fallen "Warriors" on this Memorial Day. Remember also to, smoke what you like and like what you smoke and take time to contemplate. I SALUTE.

Well said Marine. I add my thanks to all that served and to those who died for our right to be free. We that are here now need to honor their sacrifice and keep our country free.
Anyone who wants to read a good article about the veterans of the Gettysburg campaign, this was a good read. As an aside, these 90 year olds sound tougher than most 20 year olds these days.
Memorial day is nothing to be happy about. It's a damn funeral. Remember the people that fought and sacrificed everything for this once great and free country.
They fought for a country they believed in. Protected American citizens to preserve our way of life! To keep freedom. They believed in God, our creator and the one that gave us this freedom we enjoyed for decades.
Our current government/administration is nothing to fight for but to fight against. Our current justice system is not to protect but one we should condemn and destroy. Everything our fallen heroes fought and died for is gone. The America we grew up in, read about in history books is dead and gone.
Your own American government killed the once great United States of America. All that is left are people that remember what it was like and thinking it's coming back. It's not. America is dead, just the way your politicians want it.
The worst is yet to come. The American citizens and the silent majority have lost. It's over. You blew it for not standing up and pushing back.
THIS is the memorial for the weekend. The tragic death of the once great United States of America.
Although it can be painful to bring up these memories, I have always considered it a necessity and an obligation in order to help keep perspective on just how much was sacrificed and to never take it for granted...
Very well stated, Brother.
I can't disagree with your statement, but I refuse to give up hope.
