PREPARING FOR THE WINTER SEASON.

Hello Pipe and Tobacco Aficionados. Hope all is well out there and that everyone is trying to be safe as possible, (Flu season is upon us). Information sharing, I just received a new OMS tobacco pipe, the "KT209 FieldMaster Dublin." I share this information because it is my first and if you buy chance also own one, please share your thoughts about this pipe. At this point I like the size, weight and feel of the pipe and of course the design. I have not tried/smoked from the pipe as of yet and I am not sure how soon I will have the opportunity with it currently being 30 degrees outside, icy and wet. Most of the time I like being out when I am enjoying a pipe. I will select a nice blend for this time of season and with the new pipe give it a go. I would also take any suggestions on a nice blend for this time of season if you have any. Remember, "Smoke what you like and like what you smoke." Thanks and be safe.

@KABUL07 as it gets colder out I find I usually gravitate back to G.L. Pease Westminster. It's a nice blend for the cooler months.

I will caution that a year or two ago I did crack one of my favorite pipes smoking while snow blowing. I think the ice and heat played a number on the bowl.

Hmmmm . . . Sometimes the surest way to cause cracks in an object is by too-quick cooling down from an elevated temperature. Except for the sometimes it doesn't, that is.
