Where do you smoke?

I'm sure this has already been posted but for us newer members it would be cool to know where you go for your pipe bliss. I smoke in my garage with the garage opened up, my wife had 2 tables made for me last Christmas, they have been a blessing. It gets a bit rough in the summer when it is hitting 100+ but with a good fan I'm all good!

Nice setup! I smoke pretty much anywhere excluding stores and public buildings.

@Balisong I do occasionally smoke at my local pub but of coarse COVID has put a damper on that.

Anywhere I can, which is outside (or the garage if it's raining) for roughly 8 months of the year, in the winter It's the car while traveling or a Arlington Pipe and cigar with a few trips to the Humidor as a club member has a premium membership and invites me out..

I smoke out in my big garage/shop, the outside patio,  and lately I have said “screw it, it’s my house, I live alone (except for Felix the cat), nobody visits, I’m smoking inside”.  My cat is not impressed, so I don’t smoke in the house very often.  We can’t smoke in public buildings here at all, including bars/saloons/casinos/tobacconists..nowhere public.  Outside, you even have to be at least 20 feet away from any door, window, or opening.  There is/was? a “private membership” cigar lounge, but I would not try to smoke a pipe there, I might be run out on a rail?

I usually smoke either in the garage (my make-shift man cave) or outside. My wife has respiratory problems so I don't smoke in the house until after dark when she's completely on the other side of the house in bed. The bedrooms are on the other side of the house - and if I have the patio door open she says the smoke either doesn't get that far - or it simply doesn't bother her at that distance. It's sad because she really likes the smell of the pipe tobacco, and supports my hobby - but it's the actual smoke in the air that can trigger her. So since she means more to me than my pipe I'm more than happy to abide by the simple rules of the house. Daytime ... smoke outside or in the garage. Night time ... after she's gone to bed.

We've been contemplating moving for a few years now - and one of the things I'd like to have in my new home would be a four season's room in the rear of the house.

With this comment, I’m not trying to be a jerk, just some FYI. In the picture, you have the US Flag on the wall/fridge displayed with the blue field in the top right corner, proper US flag etiquette, when it is displayed on a wall/vertical surface should have the blue field in the top left corner.  However, this is the United States of America, and you can display it anyway you please.  God Bless America!

My patio set is very similar.  My table has a solid plastic? top though.  I like the expanded metal yours has, better.👍🏻

I recall being taught that the American flag is at stage right, with any other banner at stage left. This applies to platforms, stages, pulpit areas, auditoriums, yada. 

Is this correct @RockyMountainBriar ?

I've raised and lowered the flag at the station a few hundred times, but never hung one on the wall. Now I know, thanks to my brothers of the briar.

Stage right would mean all other flags/banners are displayed to the left of the US Flag (which seems backwards to me), so you are correct.

Nooo, do not take it down, whatever you do.  Stage right (as in being staged to the right of other flags, banners, etc.) and (field or " jack" = the blue with stars) left are two different things

I Love the sight of the US Flag, it instills something in me.....Patriotism!

I use a little niche in my garage. Comfortable chair, roomy little side table, window right beside me, a fan in the summer, a heater in the winter and a homemade window/fan set up to take the smoke out the partially opened window... Not much to look at, but it gets the job done.
The only time I smoke outside (front porch, screened in back porch) is when the wind and/or temp is not an issue...

My lounge is our living room! I’ve got a big Stickley leather Morris chair with my tampers, lighters and other accoutrements at hand and other stuff from my collection scattered around. Nothing better than enjoying a pipe on a cool night with the fireplace on noodling on the computer and watching the game on tv.

I love that tobacco jar. I've started collecting jars instead of estate pipes and have bought four in the past year. I have a fifth that is so big I just put tins into it.

Thank you. The one thing it doesn't have and I wished it did is a toilet. Since the lockdown, I almost live out there.
