Hello Pipe and Tobacco Aficionados, hope all is well. Been out of the net for a few and decided to return for some information and feedback in reference to a tobacco blend that has a reputation to be one of the "Best Tobacco" blends on the market today. Not knowing if this is a fact because I have never tried it and just received a tin of it. I felt that I would ask you, (The professionals) to share your thoughts. The tobacco is "Peter Heinrich's" Dark Strong. This tobacco appears to be somewhat difficult to get at times because it sales pretty quickly. What are your thoughts on this blend ? Remember, "Smoke what you like and like what you smoke." :-)

Sure. Ignore us until you want something. LOL
Several years ago I was able to smoke some Heinrich's Dark Strong from around 2005 and some Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky from 2003. I remember the Orlik being better. I want to say the Orlik had slightly better flavor and the licorice being more pronounced and the Heinrich was harsher on the tongue with more molasses flavor.
From what I've heard, both blends have changed and neither of the current offerings are as good as the older version.
