How do you prepare your Erinmore Flake? I have tried cube cutting it, rubbing it out, fold and stuff... Leave it out to dry, tin to bowl... I just can't seem to get the stuff where I want it, but I love the slow burn of the burley and the rich, sweet flavor! I'd appreciate some input before I pop open the tin I have set aside for a cooler day.

I took two flakes out of the tin and let them sit for about 20 minutes on a paper towel. I broke it up into stringy pieces but not real fine and then stuffed it into the bowl.

The two flakes lasted just over an hour in a cob.

found some Esoterica at Telford's Pipe & Cigar in Mill Valley (for anyone on the bay area), scored 8oz of Penzance and 16 oz of Stonehave. over the course of 3 days. They limit one per customer per sale. They still have some left!!!

Placed an order with The Country Squire shop. Some Cherokee, Flambeau, Parsons Blend, Seersucker and some of their Whatever! Blend. Figured I would give their Areomatics a try. Really enjoy the pod cast they put on weekly.

@pipeprofessor I'm assuming you looked but, and it might have fallen off, but C&D tins come with a sticker on the bottom that dates them

@drac2485 I believe you are correct. The blend I got was Sutliff though, and I I should have been more explicit in my post. It was Sutliff CD Blend, it is supposidly a match to the old Country Doctor.

Just opened a box from P&C with 1.5 oz box of Carter Hall and 2 tins each of Sutliff Private Stock Old San Francisco, Kasimir, and Lord of the Manor.  They were all on sale for $5 a piece and had decent reviews.  Have never had any of them yet.

Been enjoying Orlik's Dark Strong Kentucky, but keep hearing about McClelland's Frog Morton Cellar.  I've tried the original FM, but everyone raves about the Cellar.

I'll let you know when I find out but right now I'm not even close. I just did an inventory and realized I was down to just over 8 lbs. of tobacco. The majority of which were in tins at one time.
