Hard to find "Blends."

Hello out there, hope all is well in the P&T world. Information sharing, I tried a few days ago to purchase some pipe tobacco from an establishment outside the USA and was informed by them that they could not sale tobacco to me because I live in the USA, :-( bummer. Has this situation happened to any of you out there and if so, what option do you have and where are you purchasing you're "Hard to find" blends out side of the USA ? Thank you, on standby. KABUL07

Yea, your pretty much out of luck.  I have been wanting some Kisami tobacco and some W.O. Larsen Indigo....no luck.  I thought maybe one of my cousins, whom is married to a Japanese might bring some Kizami back with them after one of their trips....not yet.  I thought maybe my brother would bring back some Indigo when he went to England awhile ago...nope.   I’m kinda bummed out, and now with the stooopid (with three o’s) deeming laws...we are screwed.  Now they can’t even import (without major hoops and hassles) the popular W.O. Larsen yearly Limited Editions, no Peterson’s yearly Limited Editions, etc.......I’m a sad panda☹️

@RockyMountainBriar @KABUL07 - This isn't just a sad fact of life for pipe smokers in the US, it's a world-wide trend with European countries being unable to get most US blends and there are even restrictions between selling tobacco over some European countries borders. 

I was looking forward to both the Peterson's Winter Edition 2018 and the Rattray's Winter Edition 2018 but was unable to find either.

I am holding out a very slim hope that Peterson will resume it's speciality blends in the US since they are now owned by  STG/Lane.

I have looked online for Kizami, specifically at the link you posted.  It seems the sites can ship all over the world, and they will, the only problem is that the tobacco gets confiscated at US customs and so the customer is screwed.  The sites explicitly says that it is illegal to ship to the US, the only way to get some is bring it back from Japan in your luggage.  Like other items there is probably a limit to how much.  I have not found the specific laws on how much can be brought home in luggage to the US without major hassles.....it may be zero?

Always liked the tin art on "Bond Street" tobacco. Unfortunately most of the tins I've found in antique store is pretty bad. So I'm still searching. But I wonder if anyone knows where I might locate a tin of Bond Street that still has tobacco in it?
