THE NEW ERA 59FIFTY LOW PROFILE PETE GEEK 10th ANNIVERSARY BALL CAP EVENT
There is nothing under the sun like a day at the ball park. Whenever I go, it’s like time stretches out while we’re sitting in the bleachers, a zen kind of experience. When Mark Hunt CPG suggested a ball cap for the Pete Geeks, all of us at the Chicago Show got excited. But which one? As we did our research, it became obvious that there is really only ONE ball cap–that made by New Era. And as far as the fasionista are concerned, the 59FIFTY Low Pro is THE hat for style, quality, and durability.
Above are the two options in digital pre-mockups I’ve made using New Era’s designs. New Era will provide a final digital preview that I’ll post when we place the order.
COST: Price is $49.95 each including US Shipping for orders in the US Price is $69.95 each including International Shipping overseas (this does NOT include any customs/import fees)
TIME: About 12 weeks from the time we place the final order.
MEASURING: It’s really, really important that you get a good measurement because these are FITTED caps. There’s a New Era measuring video below. Don’t rely on hats you already have; please take a fresh measurement. We had really good luck with the Dubliner Flat Caps last time.
There was a Pete Geek flat cap a while back, did you get one of those, or not interested?
Myself, I don’t wear ball caps, or flat caps. Actually, I seldom wear a hat of any kind. Sometimes a cowboy hat when farming/ranching/fishing, my Mad Bomber rabbit fur hat when it’s cold as hell, maybe a do-rag fishing, dirt biking, or riding my Harleys, or doing yard work. The summer sun is hard on the melon, I don’t want melanoma.

Tobacco Update: I was able to spend a full day in our supplier’s Pipe Tobacco factory J.F. Germain & Son. I am happy to announce that a few of our blends are currently in production and we have an approximate date of late September for availability. I will keep you posted in the next newsletters.
For those that missed the last newsletter, below are some of the New pipes we added recently.
From GH.Zhang there are over 20 new pipes including the New Artisan models introduced at the Chicago pipes show, and the New Dragon Series. The Dragon Series are reminiscent to the mid 1900's marquee brands. They are more classical in shape and fitted with a hand-cut ebonite stem. The craftsmanship and designs are remarkable. Graded with a taloned Claw.
Introducing C-Pipe! Wilson Wang has been participating in the pipe community for two decades. He is an innovator in bringing pipes to the eastern world and now has developed his pipe workshop with many artisans he has trained. They are priced in all ranges and come in a variety of classic and freehand shapes.
New to us are Bruno Nuttens Hand Mades. They are a high end Artisan pipe made individually by Bruno. There are also a handful each of Bruno's famous Bing and Mini Bing Shapes.
Emiliano has provided us with 3 exquisite pieces. 2 Compact and elegant and a sleek Bamboo fitted design.
Introducing Ali Jabar! Ali has been making pipes under the guidance of Wandi Riyadi in Indonesia. We do not know much about Ali yet, but we are looking forward to a conversation and seeing more of his artistic work.

I think either I missed the Pete Geek flat cap or it was before I found a Pete I liked.
