The accepted fact is that Clement Moore created an inside joke when naming the last two reindeer - Donder and Blitzen. In Dutch, Donder means thunder while in German Blitzen means lightning. But "Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN! On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONDER and BLITZEN!" sound better than ""Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN! On, COMET! on CUPID! on, Thunder and Lightning."
@motie2 I posted a mild rant about the C&D Wintertime Reserve/Peterson deal on one of the other forums. It irritates me that C&D comes out with what sounds like interesting blends only you can't get them unless you buy a new Peterson pipe. I don't want a new Peterson pipe. I have two already, and while I do smoke them occasionally, neither is the first pipe I think about when I reach for a pipe to smoke.
It also makes me wonder if some of these "Special Edition Wintertime Reserve" blends are really nothing but repackaged blends. Dasher, for example (vanilla and raspberry) sounds a lot like Berry Good (raspberry and vanilla).
