@vtgrad2003 I agree. That question, in my estimation, is "ripe" for an answer. Get it? "fresh" , "ripe"... 😏 Oh well, no one ever told me I was a comedian, and now you know why.. 😬
@RockyMountainBriar For sure; I always knew what "fresh" meant, buy why? It seems that the word "new" is a far better descriptor than fresh. I was thinking there might be something deeper here that I didn't know about, for instance, maybe "fresh" has always been used in the pipe world in general and I just never knew (even though I've been smoking pipes for the better part of 30 years), or something like that. Well, sounds like my Spanish Inquisition to find out the reason why SP uses the word "fresh" instead of "new" has ended up a blank--the mystery lingers on! Thanks for your input everyone!
@vtgrad2003 Fresh as opposed to new because their estate pipe refurbs are in there as well. They couldn’t call estate pipes new, people would be pissed.

Many thanks. Forgive me.... I've a hoary head, metaphorically speaking.
Just a guess....
Fresh as in "recently made" as opposed to new but old stock or old and unsmoked.
