@Corey562 Thanks. I also like the lighter colors. I also enjoy two-tone staining some pipes when I have been fortunate to find beautiful grain after sanding and prepping. This one I needed to rusticate to hide the flaws, but as you can see, I try to leave as much of the natural look as possible.
@RockyMountainBriarSounds as if you and I are in the same boat. I have a collection that is now approaching 60 pipes! Almost all are reconditioned/restored estate pipes, nevertheless, To say I have them all in rotation, would mean I will smoke the same pipe no less than every 2 months! That means all the rest have been pushed back in rotation. Now I am realistically looking at completing the entire collection within a 4 month period. Can that really be called a rotation? So all in all, I feel we have the same problem. But then again, I wouldn't have it any other way...
@motie2, Test her, she will cave! Remember, it is only a pipe, not another woman. SWMBO will consider this too, so realize that you have the upper hand!
@motie2, well maybe if you wash her car, take her clothes to the dry cleaners, cook all her meals, and do the laundry, maybe you could negotiate negotiations.
Unless you are already doing all those things...........
motie, this morning I had what started out to be a brilliant idea. I figured that your people could contact Henry Kissinger's people, and see if they could entice him to come out of retirement for one last negotiation. Then it hit me, that SWMBO is your people, and that scenario would be the equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot. I suppose I need to go back to the drawing board, if I am going to come anywhere close, to helping you develop a strategy.

SWMBO must be obeyed.... why do you think she's called that?
