With @PappyJoe reminding me of “Peaty Kentucky”, I decided to load up my Pete Outdoor D2 with my Arango/Stokkebye 4th Generation “Peaty Kentucky”, four coins rubbed out.🙂
Tonight I have a MM “Panama Jack”? (If I remember correctly) loaded with some C&D “Eight State Burley” from 2022.
I’m not sure if I have posted a pic of this dragon lighter before or not. I think it’s pretty cool. It’s a cheap Chinese lighter, but still cool. Lift the dragon head and push the button, it ignites first as a single torch and stays as a torch as long as you hold the button down. When you let up on the button, it lights the soft flame out of the dragon’s mouth, then just drop the dragon head back down to extinguish it. It works great as a cigar/pipe lighter. You can reach down in a bowl with the soft flame if needed.
Why is it….when I’m watching westerns, I want to drink black coffee, whiskey, or tequila🤔
P.S. My folding metal pipe rests work great as a trivet for the hot coffee pot🙂
@opipeman I’m not even close, I don’t recall the numbers, but I have read about several other’s extensive collections. I have the proverbial equivalent of “a drop in the bucket” in comparison🙂
Yesterday I had some Capstan “Blue” in a Pete “Sterling Silver” 999.
Later, I went out to my buddy’s place and hung around the fire-pit with his family. He has one of the Ninja Slushy Machines and he whipped up some mocha coffee frappés in it. I might have contributed a generous pour of “Licor 43” to our drinks😬😋 I made it home at about 2:00AM.
I have some C&D “Sunbear-Tupelo” loaded in a Pete 03 St. Patrick’s Day 2001 edition. I’m getting “loaded” (not really getting loaded, just a shot or two😬) with some McCormick Platte Valley Corn Whiskey🙂
Smoking some C&D “Espresso” in an older Peterson System Deluxe 12 1/2S (it has a Bakelite condenser and the shank stamp Made in Ireland). I have a hot coffee with steamed and frothed whole milk with a little brown sugar. I bought this pipe years ago when I first started up this hobby. I might have smoked it once before, it seems my restoration skills were a little less refined back then. I still have a ghost of “vintage” (i.e. not mine) smokes past eeking through. I guess I will run some extra Everclear pipe cleaners through it after this smoke.
Smoking another bowl of C&D “Espresso” in the little Pete System Deluxe 12 1/2S this evening. I gave it a good swabbing out with Everclear and let it rest a few hours. The exercising of ghosts of tobaccos past with 190 proof good, clean, spirits seems to have worked👍🏻
I’m smoking an experimental mix I “whipped up” of C&D’s Izmir Turkish ~50%, Dark Burley ~25%, Red Virginia Ribbon ~10%, Bright Virginia Ribbon ~10%, and Long Cut Perique ~5%. I have it smoldering nicely in my Barling Benjamin Guinea Grain 1814 Lovat. So far so good. I am enjoying a Turkish Coffee brewed with a bit of brown sugar and cardamom, with a glass of water (from the Yellowstone River😉) and a bit of milk chocolate to pair.
Decided to go visit my son on the other side of Louisiana for a week so I didn't have the time or opportunity to check the forum. I did find the time to smoke some Dark Moor a couple of times though.
Decided to burn a bowl of C&D “Espresso” in my Pete System Standard XL305 (a) before nighty-night.🙂. I just realized I forgot to look to see if I have some Stokkebye “Bullseye Flake” around here somewhere. To many pipes, too many tobaccos….🤔Is there such a thing?
