Pipe shop bucket list

I'm trying to put together an American Pipe Shop bucket list. These would be the best of the best pipe shops in America to visit. Does anyone have recommendations? The Country Squire in Jackson, MS is on the top of my list (love the podcast). I currently live in Maryland but anywhere in the lower 48 is fair game. Let me know what your thoughts are!

Paul's in Flint, Michigan. Paul Spaniola was a legend in the community. Paul's isn't flossy - it's pretty old school - but it's definitely worth a visit.

I've posted a few already, but for those of you who live or visit the West Coast. Make sure you take the time to visit the beautiful Northern California coastline and stop by Carmel by the Sea. It's a cool little village near Monterey where the real estate is pricey (and beautiful). Think: Gorgeous coastlines, 17-mile drive, Pebble Beach golf, and a frequent glimpse of former mayor Clint Eastwood. It's a quick day trip for me. I love to take my wife (we are both lovers of the Pacific Ocean) and it's a great place for the dogs to run free and take a quick dip in the ocean.

Long intro, but Carmel is also the home of a very cool little pipe shop. Check it out here.

They pack a bunch of high quality pipes, tobacco and supplies into that little shop. Definitely worth a stop while your wife is strolling down the street and window shopping!

The Country Squire in Jackson, MS. Bought my first pipe there from Mr. & Mrs. Reeves in the early 70s. Didn't smoke long and started up again some years ago. John David is the perfect person and TCS remains a wonderful place. Kind of old world charm and grace. Comes from years of being wonderful. I love getting there when I can. Im 180 mi. away now. The podcast is terrific also.

L.j. Peretti, sent there to buy a tin of MacBaren Virginia No 1. My sophomore TV teacher thought I would enjoy the sweet flavor. Recently revisited it and it's a lot better than I remember. I recently mail ordered Tashkent, Cambridge Flake and Boston's Best Cavendish from them over 45 years after that first tin.

@motie2 I agree with you on Straus ... simply because I want to try "Sleepy Hollow" before I die, and that's the only shop you can purchase it. And since the blend is seasonal, they really provide a buyer friendly website to purchase tobacco from like most mail order outfits it seems the best way to purchase it is walking into the shop.
