@Corey562 What a chunk of briar! The grain really turned out nice with the stain color you used. Definitely a real beauty... What's the diameter on the hole. It looks as if it's a good thick bowl. I agree with you: It is a monster... but a pretty one...
@mfresa Nice... Really nice... I'm impressed with your craftsmanship. Yours, like Corey's, Is definitely a "rocking chair" pipe. Both of your pipes are going to require special racks to display them. Great job!...
@Corey562, @KA9FFJ thanks guys, It is a bit unusual, but the grain is pretty striking. If I could manage to take better pictures it might help show that. I am definitely going to make a display stand for it that shows it off better. Maybe get some final pics at that point.
@mfresa Came out really nice. If you've smoked it already, please give us a report. If not, when's the "maiden voyage" ?... @Corey562 Looks like another work of art in the making. You've had some blocks of briar that have really worked well for you, and you're smart to take advantage of them ( plateaus I mean)...
@KA9FFJ Brother that I have I owe that part of the process to Steve for picking me out some real winners. When I finally finish this set it will be a hard one to sell I just need one more after this to make 7.
Well as many of you know, @Corey562 has created many, many pipes and is worthy to be proclaimed as an artisan craftsman. Here are the 4 pipes I have purchased from him featuring the new one I just received today... ENJOY...
Thanks @Kmhartle@mfresa As far as I'm concerned, @Corey562 is the best value for the price, bar none!... If anyone out there is considering making the plunge, you won't go wrong... PULL THE TRIGGER and get one. I know I'm not alone with that assestment...
@KA9FFJ. I couldn't agree with you more. I have two of @Corey562 pipes and they both smoke great, not to mention they are one of a kind pieces of art. For the price, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend getting one if you're considering a great pipe. In fact, I hope to add a few more to my rotation before the Abb Brown pipes command what they are truly worth!
