Pipe Sets & Collections

Master
Since the beginning of the last century and up to the 1970s, pipe sets seemed to be common purchases either as gifts or a special purchase. While still probably around, pipe sets do not seem to be as popular or as common today. Although one can certainly assemble a set of pipes, none are readily available for purchase as a boxed set.

I have several accumulated sets but no boxed sets yet but that will probably change this year.
Indeed, although I do have a Sherlock Holmes LaStrade. I also have the Professor, Deer Stalker, Mycroft, and Squire shapes in the less expensive “Kinsale” line. All of them were acquired as estate pipes at much reduced prices. I also have a Deluxe with the briar ring stem insert P in the big Sherlock Holmes XL305 Calabash, not to be confused with the older XL305 Large Bent Dublin shape. Working on the others....PAD is rampant

They only want $700 for it ! (yeah.)
Love that A.D.P. Set!
@AnantaAndroscoggin $700 is not a bad price for a Meerschaum set like that but I wouldn't by pipes from a place named "Bernies Photo Center" without being able to put my hands on the pipes first.
