Back in seminary, I was the best non-Asian Go player in the community. The advent of the internet exposed me to players that wiped me out game after game.... to say nothing of being beaten constantly by the computer.
Love Chess! Learned in high school, was in the Chess club, and have played ever since. I have also tried to play the computer version and figured out that it is impossible to beat the computer. Played a few games that I should have won but the computer wouldn't let me move.
As an experiment, I played some games using a chess playbook to which tell computer would not permit certain moves, even though the playbook showed them As valid.
@motie2 Just watched the AlphaGo documentary... the most profound statement to me was that even though AlphaGo is as advanced as it is... we've barely even scratched the surface of AI and that the AlphaGo technology is very simple and infant.

Much prefer playing chess the old fashioned way.
