Rusticating a Cob

 Has anyone tried to rusticate a Cob? I'm wondering if something like this would work on the plaster that's in MM cobs.

Thoughts?

I've never Done anything to the Cob Bowls except Chamfer and round the bore. I've customized stems while repairing, etc..

@Darmon -- Never thought of rusticating a cob. Usually folks pay extra to have the plaster fill.

I'm just wondering if you could get the type of rustication that these tools would give on briar.  But I'm not sure if the plaster would that texture or just chip out.

Chipping out would be my (totally uninformed) guess.

That's what I'm thinking also but I might have to try it on one of my "smokeable seconds" cobs and see just what happens.  I'll have to make the tool first.
